Another Singapore hawker stall fixture is now in Megamall. Geylang Claypot Rice! The tender but bony pieces of chicken with the rice and very few stalks of greens are cooked to order over charcoal in a claypot. It comes steaming hot to your table whereupon you're supposed to mix it all together to prevent the rice from getting burnt. Chicken tasted good, but I wasn't getting any great taste from the rice. Also found very few vegetables unlike what I had in Singapore.

Great twist to rice toppings meals. Rice toppings are served in clay pot and cooked in clay pot which adds good flavor and texture to the rice

Oh i never thought I'd find a scent of sg hawker here in ph! Oh the memories!Geylang Claypot rice caught my attention with its unique style of serving food. In a claypot! Tho I haven't tried this in sg, i took the chance of trying it here now. It was really yummy and HOT!! Can't count how many times I burnt my tongue! Haha but it was really good! Tho i don't appreciate the chicken bones interfering with my bites. And the burnt food at the bottom that managed to scrape off and mix with the rest of the unburnt. 😅The price is okay considering its somehow an imported taste. The menu only had this chicken claypot that has its rice in itself. The rest you should buy additional rice for 35php. Waiting time they said was 15-30mins. We got it by maybe 30 or more mins. Kind of long. But atleast they told us beforehand.Come back? Hm maybe.

I ordered the claypot chicken (right side, the one with the claypot and foil), has a quite unique presentation, serving size is also good. As for taste i could say that it is quite ok, does not have that wow factor to set it off. The php 280 is more that what i would want to pay for it

I ordered Chicken Claypot Rice for 1 pax but the serving is really huge for sharing. It's definitely a flavorful pot of rice and chicken. The sauce though is bordering to salty and my only wish is for that to be well balanced as well. 😋👍🏻
