Yesterday I had a bad craving for anything sweet. That’s why I didn’t resist the urge to buy this cake in a jar right away after seeing it in a food bazaar in Glorietta. For only Php130, I enjoyed this delectable cake! By the way, it is my first time eating a cake in a jar. Don’t judge me. LOLAs much as I wanted to buy all of the flavors, I settled with my ever favorite, Red Velvet.   Cukay’s Cake in a jar is not too sweet. The flavor is just enough that you can finish the whole cake by yourself. It’s also not nakaka-uta, which is really good, yes? But what I really like about this is how soft the cake is. And the frosting is just so yummy! Cukay’s frosting is what I crave most after all.Oh, Cukay’s also include this wooden spoon attached to the jar so you can eat it anytime and anywhere! They also offer customized cakes and cupcakes. Cookies are also available in Cukay’s.

Cukay's in Edison is just a short walk from my place in Pasay. When I was pregnant, I frequent this place. I had sampled most of their cupcakes by getting the mini versions. All of them are exceptional. Moist, melts in your mouth and looks so pretty. The green tea cupcake was a surprise hit. I love green tea but I rarely find pastries with this flavor good. Cukay's hit the spot. The Rainbow Cupcake was just too cute. My favorite was the Chocolate Caramel. Anything caramels me drooling. The only disappointment for me was the red velvet cake. It felt like I got an old stock, one that had been sitting on the fridge for a while. The batter was too heavy. Aside from the texture, the taste was still perfect. They also have Stuffed cookies. It's as big as my palm and when they say Stuffed, it's really so full of the yummy goodness of cookies and/or mallows. I got their Pistachio Sansrival for one of Mila's monthly celebration. I did not even get the chance to take pictures and just got one bite. It got devoured by my family, who I must add, are not sweets lovers. But they loved it so much because it's buttery but does not feel oily. The crunch and chewing was so good, they just could not stop.

Still the best cupcake/sliced cake I've ever tasted maybe it's because of the frostings. As much as I love this, every time I eat their red velvet I immediately hide so I won't be able to share it with my friends. Haha! Kidding aside, every one whom I recommended this kept buying for more. I think their best seller is the red velvet.

There's something in cupcakes that i can't resist! Maybe the icing frost topped on every piece of cupcake? But what's with red velvet? I so love how it was made in its vibrant red color!I am a fan of sweets and especially cupcakes! Don't you just love every color and flavor on it?Red velvet cupcake in Cukay's is so far the BEST for me! Unlike other cupcakes, Cukay's are moist and delectable. Every bite is worth it! The place is a bit far, if you're coming from sen gil puyat, you need to walk from the street of dian to reach the store. (Just check the map)For the price: its kinda pricey. Just like all Cupcakes! :-) around Php 80-90-xoxo

First saw Cukay's through a stall in Megamall. So when I went to their store over at Makati, I immediately liked their set up which was nice and somewhat elegant though a little on the minimalist side of things. But it suited them well. Love that they have sugar free cakes of which I already tried their Super Moist Chocolate Cake. Love, love, love it!
