E-X-P-E-N-S-I-V-ESome of the items in the menu were not available. Their chicken is dry and bland. The mashed potatoes and baked mac and cheese tastes fake. The ribs, ugh, the ribs was weird; it tasted OK while inside the restaurant but when I reheated it the next day, it tasted stale. The other ribs I tried and reheated always taste the same, if not better. The onion rings are cut very very thick and very small in portion. The salad is very expensive for the portion (good for 1), and there is nothing spectacular about it.  The only thing I liked about this restaurant is the ambiance but that alone can't get make this rating a little higher.

Disappointing service. We were a party of 6 for dinner and only about 4 tables were occupied. We ordered ahead of the other tables but their orders came ahead of ours. The steaks were good though.

Had dinner here on a Sunday night to celebrate a nephew’s high school graduation. We were a party of 8 and ordered the following:Charbroiled Slab of Bacon (for starters), Two 21oz rib-eyes, a Full-slab of Barbecued Pork Ribs and 2 Prawn Society. We had some mac and cheese and white rice for sides too. We were not heavy eaters so this was enough for us at that time.Personally, I only tried portions of the slab of bacon, the rib-eye and the prawn society pasta as I was controlling my diet. I enjoyed all of them. The Slab of Bacon was good. I expected it to be thin strips of pork like what we get from the supermarkets but it was actually something like a very thick cut of pork belly that was marinated and grilled then sliced into bite-sized chunks, and I found it quite good. The rib-eye was as I expected it and it was practically similar to the other rib-eyes that I’ve had. The Prawn Society pasta was to my liking also. There’s a certain taste to it that I could not describe but I liked it a lot although some may say that it is a bit on the salty side. I can’t say much about the barbecued pork ribs as I didn’t try it but my son almost consumed the entire thing so it might be good also. The ambiance of the place was nice. The only negative comment I will make is on the service of the staff as it was pretty slow. The place was only half packed but we had to ask for glasses of drinking water 3 times before we were served… I mean, it was just water. Our orders arrived an average of 20mins upon ordering. All in all, we had a good time. We may come back to try other stuff, especially that Bone Marrow starter that they are offering.

I was actually able to try Chops in search of something new at Shang. Of course we did not order steak as it would be too expensive for merienda. Had the oyster  rockefeller and a salad plus the chocolate cigars as dessert. We really loved the chocolate cigars and for those who were able to try it already, you know what I mean =)

Was treated to a steak dinner by a business partner with a few other guests (five of us).  At the restaurant, we did the usual way of ordering food, inclusive of the order review before finalizing each order.  After receiving and partaking of our orders, we ask for the bill.  Upon our review of the bill, we found three items neatly embedded into our bill.  That practically had jacked up our bill from 18k to 22k. A whopping 3k.  As usual, we called their attention and had the bill corrected. We however were decent enough to just accept their apology.  Nevertheless, we still think that this restaurant may have the habit of jacking up customer bills if the customers looks dumb (like us).  Not a good experience with this Shang Mall restaurant... My rating does not include the food quality though...

Despite being declared a Steakhouse, I feel that Chops is very underrated and deserves as much attention as Mamou and House of WagyuIt has a fine dining feel so the service is top notch. Our server suggested the Tomahawk and Porterhouse for our party of 5 and we are very grateful for his recommendation. We couldn't stop raving how the Tomahawk is so well-seasoned that it's even better without the gravy, then we tried Porterhouse and it was really really delicious for that kind of cut. It was hard to pick a favorite between the two so you would have to order both. :)For the sides I recommend the Cardiac Rice which we also ended up loving and the Corn which is served on a skillet with butter on top. My family has high standards when it comes to food and we were all very delighted with our meal.

I find Chops Chicago Steakhouse to be expensive, but the food is worth the price as it is so good! Love the interiors of the place as it really feels like a man's restaurant and the service here is really good. Their steaks are cooked correctly, especially since i like mine medium rare. They do have a couple of pasta dishes too that taste okay, but the steaks are what sells this place for me.

This sure is one expensive steakhouse. But service is deluxe. The ribs were good. The gravy with truffles oil made it even more delish. The appetizers - shrimp and Rockefeller oysters were soso. The dessert were all good. We requested it be split to 8 and we all got our fill.

Too over priced for me. It was the first time where I ate a prime rib that didn't make me smile after eating it. The turkey was good though a bit on the burnt side but it was ok.

What a place! My wife and I tried this place out and we were thoroughly blown away! For our appetizers, we had their Baked Rockefeller Oysters. The flavors were amazing and I could not get enough. For our entrée we had the USDA certified angus beef. I believe that me and my wife has found our standard when it comes to steaks and it is the one that we ordered here!
