My expectations on Chibi's were high since a friend recommended this to me but was disappointed after eating their food (except for their rice which was really sticky and good and the coffee jelly which comes with the bento meal). I don't think I will go back here. Nothing special.

A really great place to dine in! Really loved the buta no kakuni bento! Melts in your mouth! Loved the karaage too! Crisp and juicy with light batter. Place feels like an authentic Japanese fastfood similar to Mo's burger in Japan! Highly recommended and will surely come back!

Tried the Karaage Bento for Php 155. With the price, I am not surprised that it includes 4 small pieces of the karaage, a cuppa sticky rice, tamagoyaki, and pickles. My issue...it's too salty. Every single dish is salty even the corn soup. This resto has a lot of potential with just a pinch of salt they might get better reviews.

Aside from the chicken karaage being a bit oily (but what did i expect, they're fried haha 😅), i have no complaints. Servings were generous. Legit jap sticky rice. We tried different sauces and the best pairing probably goes to takoyaki + mentai mayo. So good! 😋Looked forward to trying their matcha kakigori but it was unavailable during our visit unfortunately.

If you like Japanese-style fried chicken, then you'll love Chibi's Karaage Chicken. Located on the ground floor of SM Light Mall, Chibi's Kaarage with Mentai Mayo dipping sauce is worth the wait. There's usually a line but don't let that discourage you because it moves quickly. Popular with the office workers in the area with its juicy, flavorful fried boneless Chicken Karaage and affordable, delicious, Bento Meals. Aside from the Chicken Karaage, I also tried their version of Yakisoba. Not the best I had--I like my vegetables to have some nice crisp texture and not all wilted--but it's still worth the try.  I like how everything was reasonably-priced. It allows you to have a good variety of things. Drop by the place for a quick bite and go.

A fast-food restaurant that specializes in Japanese karaage style chicken. Chibi’s Karaage ranks first now in my head when I think of karaage chicken. Oops! I spoke ahead of my verdict. Haha! I’ve gotta tell you this early before you read along that their karaage is really one great comfort food every chicken lover must try. Although it’s not located in typical malls, people in the area must know you are missing out a lot if you haven’t tried Chibi’s Karaage. Based on experience, I missed out a lot!The Food:Karaage (Php 90/regular/100g; Php120/large/130g) / Rate: 5/5First, I was intrigued by their Chicken Karaage with Takoyaki sauce served in a cup and sticks . Attacking on the karaage made me taste the light batter and crispiness of the skin instantly. Glorious! The juicy meat didn’t disappoint too. I thought choosing Takoyaki sauce was also brilliant for another element of Japanese flavor.Buta no Kakuni (Php 175) / Rate: 4/5Soy-based sauce is used for Buta no Kakuni bento meal. Tender pork belly with sitting on its light soy-based sauce fits the taste palate of pinoys. From this visit, I was already convinced they serve one of the best karaages in town. Naming their business with the karaage word attached to it, I would always be remembered of Chibi’s Karaage when I think or crave for one.For more details and photos, visit my food blog!

I ordered the Karaage Bento meal. The meal came with four large pieces of boneless chicken, a side salad, a slice of lemon, some tamago, a cute-shaped hotdog, and a hefty serving of rice. I suppose you're supposed to drizzle the lemon juice onto the karaage before putting some kewpie mayo on it, but it worked well. The karaage was crispy, flavorful even on the inside, and the lemon gave it a sharp taste that made it even better.I'd give this a higher rating if the staff was just a bit friendlier. :)

They're doing well food-wise. Their Karaage has an adequately crispy exterior and juicy meat part (whatever you call the inside of the chicken). I find that the chicken goes best with mayo. I frequently order the Karaage bento (especially during lunch, because there's a promo during weekdays). I've tried the Noriben meals and none of them suited my taste. They were pretty alright for the price, considering that it's cheaper than the normal bentos-- but the decrease in price was mimicked by the quality of the food. I'm giving this 3 stars because customer service is very unsatisfactory. The staff would usually drown in chatter even when there is a customer. Sometimes, I'd literally stand in front of the cashier, staring expectantly at the person in front of me; and the staff would simply ignore me in favor of chatting with the other employees.

There is a reason why Chibi's is the #1 place to get your Karaage fix. It is crunchy and well-seasoned on the outside; moist and juicy on the inside.I suggest getting the original spice with cheese but I think any combination would do.Tried their bento which is on promo M-F 11-2pm, only 99php. SULIT! The only place I eat my lunch whenever I can't bring packed lunch.
