This branch of Via Mare is one of the better looking branches in Metro Manila, and for that, they get a relatively high score from me. Service is also somewhat an upgrade compared to others, although it can still be improved.As for the food, I almost always order their salpicado. It’s a bit pricey but really good taste-wise. Sometimes, though, the fried lumpia that goes with it tends to be too oily. I also like their bibingka and puto bumbong as these have the classic Filipino taste that we all look for in our comfort food.In this particular visit, however, my little girl and I ordered the following:1. Arroz ala cubana - taste is ok; nothing extraordinary, though2. Inasal na manok - looks and tastes plainly tasteless3. Lomi - lacks flavor and toppings were only a handful of small pieces of kikiam and fish/squid balls, plus two tiny pieces of shrimps

We found the food here is good but a bit pricey. Tuyo fried rice — it had a lot of tuyo inside and that delighted my friends who had never eaten tuyo in years. Crab omelette — fluffy omelette with a generous filling of crabs. The veggie lumpia on the side was bland, not so good. Fried tilapia — fish was fresh and perfectly deep friedMonggo soup — this one is so-so, i think too expensive for just monggo and bits of porkWe also had the their trio dessert in the shot glass. The mais con yielo was wonderful! It was my first time to taste the Guinomi, it was sweet and coconuty and I liked it!

Our parents love Via Mare. Everytime they would come home for a visit, they must always eat here.We dined in as a huge group, and were promptly served.The prices are a bit expensive, with our bill amounting to almost 10k, but it was overall a good dining experience for everyone.

I should say Via Mare is one of the best Filipino Restaurant, worth mentioning that they're very popular to celebrities, politicians and balikbayan. The restaurant is clean, ambience is fine, servers are friendly and welcoming, the price is a bit pricey.Their branch here in Shangrila Plaza Mall is a little bit small they offer outdoor seating but of course most customers preferred inside. We ordered Crispy Pork Binagoongan, Adobong Pusit and Spring roll.●Crispy Pork Binagoongan⭐⭐⭐⭐- Our waiter said its one of their best sellers. The pork is indeed crispy but not too dry. Best paired with the sauteed shrimp paste. The veggies are good too not over cook.●Adobong Pusit⭐⭐⭐- Adobong pusit is one of my favorite filipino food. Good enough serving, the sauce is Okay and the squid is perfectly cook.●Spring Roll⭐⭐⭐- I'm not really crazy about spring roll, it's OK for me, crunchy and tasty best paired with their vinegar.

I appreciate this branch because months back we ate here after watching a late movie and they still accommodated us even if all the other restaurants in the mall were closed/ closing already. We entered Via Mare just 2 minutes before they put up the closed sign.Via Mare is a classic! Here are my faves starting with dessert just because:1. Bibingka - we usually get the special one with everything on it meaning both the salted egg and the queso de bola2. Puto Bumbong - sometimes even with cheese!Next are the savory dishes:1. Definitely the Dinuguan, sometimes with puto, sometimes rice - depends on my mood 😉2. A side order of Tokwa’t Baboy, it goes with everything you’ll order 3. Vigan Longganisa - a bit pricey for a longganisa meal but good4. Crispy Adobo Flakes - another classic Via Mare, I think this is where (in one of their first branches in the 90’s) I first even knew such existed when I was still a kid. A bit pricey too for shredded adobo but good!5. Crispy Binagoongan6. Spicy Tuyo7. Palabok8. Actually the list can go on! ...But always remember that Dinuguan is #1!
