I get so excited every time I get to read a list of new restaurants near my area. Well, aside from being excited, I get frustrated too as there are times when I hardly know any from the lists. It means that I don’t get to explore that much and it makes me wonder what I do on weekends. Anyway, one list covers the restaurants in Mandaluyong and I was surprised that out of 20 or so, I was only able to visit 5. FIVE. It made me a bit disappointed with myself as a website. I must bring back the website the explorer in me. And so on my anniversary with work I decided to visit…Burp!I’m not exactly sure when this restaurant opened but it was part of the list I “reviewed” a few months back. It was pretty small but it could accommodate around 20 diners. Parking though is very limited. The menu had a handful of choices from appetizers which are mostly soup and salad, sandwiches, breakfast meals, mains such as ribs and pork chops, pasta and desserts. There are a few shakes and frappes as well.

The carbonara that I got was the carbonara that I want. Meaning the pasta was cooked perfectly and most importantly, the sauce was just right. Not too much and not too little. Just the right amount. Kudos to the chef as I think this is one of the hardest thing to get right in the kitchen.

Finally, I was able to dine at Burp! Heard some good reviews of the place and so I came excited to check it out.I ordered Pesto Penne which was a mix of garlic, basil pesto and cream on top of penne! I liked it! It was seasoned well and a treat for foodies who love that rich aromatic goodness of herbs. I also upgraded my pasta so it cane with a salad and their house blend iced tea. The salad was a good starter mixing fresh greens and their own creamy dressing. I must say, it was worth the upgrade:)Plus one star for the good service! They have accomodating staffs sensitive to the needs of the customers. Here goes my 5-star rating:)

Affordable and simple meals at Burp! Ordered their Crispy Fish with Caper Dill sauce (Php 190) and just add Php 75 you get free iced tea and soup of the day. I chose their Tomato Soup over the Fennel Soup and IT. DID. NOT. DISAPPOINT. Will definitely go back!

Very clean atmosphere, the Baked Penne Pasta was flavorful and very filling. The pasta was al dente and the cheese was bubbly from being melted with the torch.

One of the hole in the wall restaurant that I love. My cousin and I fell in love in this place, hahaha. I like the cozy feel of the resto, the food of course and the their staff are always making us feel at home. I always order their all day breakfast specially the cornbeef hash, best ever.

NBA Finals Game 6, gotta have food sent at home. Going through a long list of choices, Burp appealed to me initially for its name. It's definitely catchy. Too bad it didn't made me do that. They serve Filipino and Italian, among others. I had their fatty, hard to chew and salty Tapa and greasy buttered Mustard Chicken. I specified to them no butter and gave me even more. The only that I enjoyed was their sour Tomato soup. It's sourness maybe similar to this review, but it was an expected welcome taste.

We're regulars in Burp.. Their Italian Ribs and Pork chop are our favorites. The staff are properly trained and the place itself looks good. The pricing is quite affordable also.

Love the fish fingers in Pesto Mayo. I can taste the fresh basil used in the garnish. The plate is too overwhelming though considering the amount of the serving. The plate use was a bandehado for a serving of one regular plate. I felt my plate is half empty though the serving is just right for me. I dunno if its really their serving technique but its not working on me.
