One could never have too many gelatos in their lifetime. That goes with ice cream too but more for gelato. I mean, who could resist that creamy, sweet and cold treat that would make anyone swoon and smile? Since I was already in the area, I spotted their colorful logo at SM Mega Fashion Hall. They only had a few seats so I quickly reserved one for me. I really wanted to revel in the taste of their offers.

Who can'r resist the sweet invites of gelato? Why not have yours now here at Bono Gelato!FOOD - We ordered single scoop each of the following:*Cioccolato (Premium) - Dark chocolate flavor. Since it is 70% dark choco, the waffle really complemented the taste of the gelato. The creamy texture and the flavor of dark chocolate is not that overpowering. I liked this flavor since I am a lover of dark chocolates. *Kooky Monster (Signature) - Combination of cookies, marshmallows and chocolate chips. My sister loved the distinct color of this gelato (just like the color of Cookie Monster). It comes with a piece of cookie. Again, the creamy texture of their gelato is there and you can really tell they made it fresh since you'll taste the flavor of each gelato they offer. PLACE - They have open/small space here in Megamall. the space is good enough just for a quick bite of gelato cravings you have. Better reserved your seat first before ordering.SERVICE - The staff are really nice. They are all smiles for all customers which is a plus for me. VERDICT - What I love with artisanal gelato is that you get to taste the real-ness of the flavor they offer. Yes, they are expensive ( a scoop costs 100+) but these are made fresh, no artificial and only real ingredients are used to make these gelato. The next time you're craving for gelato, why not have a taste of Bono Gelato?

Always get the Scoop of the Month for only 80pesos. New flavors featured at a discount. This month's flavor is the movie time scoop which has malteser chocolate malt ball pieces, potato chips and popcorn I think. On a vanilla ice cream base. I love it here. Nice way to kill time or just people watch.

It’s been a while since I had my scoop of my favorite Gelato. Bono Gelato is proud of how every flavor was made. Everything is all natural and daily churned so their customers get to experience the best taste a gelato could offer. Each scoop is quite pricey but the taste quality makes up for it. It’s not too airy, the creaminess is on point and it doesn’t melt right away. A proof of how they take the word artisanal seriously. This visit was done at their Megamall branch. I bought two scoops while waiting for my name to be called at Tim Ho Wan. Sad that they no longer offer my favorite speculoos. There’s no use crying over spilled milk so I settled with mango ube symphony and California strawberry gelato. The California strawberry was light. Perfect for those who are not sweetaholics at heart. The mango ube symphony was a total yum! Creamy and indulging and true to what the flavors should be!#Backlog

Before going to lunch, we decided to try Bono's as the hubby was craving for something cold and refreshing. I've always wanted to go here but didn't have the chance, until now.We ordered the California Strawberry. What I noticed was they didn't have that many flavors compared to other gelato shops. The price was a bit steep, too. However, the hubby enjoyed it so much, he wanted to buy a whole pint! I found it not too cloying, and the strawberry tasted natural, not processed. It was creamy and didn't melt easily. Will go back to sample other flavors soon. :)

SECOND REVIEW: Rating - 4.5I'm back here at Bono Gelato to try out their Taho flavor! 😋 It's their flavor of the month for April, so it has a discounted price of Php 80 only (a regular priced single scoop costs Php 130).It's as legit as it can get, with the gelato tasting like the actual soy bean curd sold in the streets by manong. It is then topped with syrup and tapioca pearls, a classic way to enjoy this Filipino street food favorite! 😍 I feel like I bought this from a sosyal manong magtataho. 🙊While we were there, I even overheard someone ask the staff if they have hot taho! 😁😂 LOL.Service was great, as usual! 😄 I'll try to come back again on May for their flavor of the month! 😋P.S.: Still no trash bins around, though. 😟------FIRST REVIEW: Rating - 4.0Since we believe that there is always room for dessert, we went to Bono for our after-lunch sweet treat! 😍Bono Gelato has a variety of gelato flavors you can choose from. These range from the classic vanilla, to the Filipino breakfast / snack favorite, Taho! However, what caught my eye was the gelato cookie. 😱 They have 3 flavors for this: Vanilla, Salted Caramel, and Milo Dinosaur (which I believe is also one of their best selling gelato flavors).I got the Milo Dinosaur gelato cookie, while Josh chose the Salted Caramel one. The Milo gelato was so rich and creamy, each bite was a delight! The salted caramel gelato was too salty for me, though. However, Josh and I both agreed on one thing: THE COOKIE WAS SUPER DELICIOUS! It was very crunchy, and it was crumbly and with the right hint of saltiness (credit these inputs to Josh), which matched well with the creamy texture and sweetness of the gelato. The serving size was also just right and quite sulit for its price (it is Php 95 per sandwich). It's something I would recommend, and would come back for! I super love their gelato 🍦 Though I wish they would have trash bins in the dining area, so guests are able to leave their tables clean as they go, ready for the next customers. (I hate seeing tables with lots of empty cups, tissues, etc. - Thus the 4.0 rating). Dining area is limited as the tables and chairs are placed outside the store, but I think it is enough for a dessert place since people usually order their gelato to-go, or they don't stay that long if ever the choose to dine-in.Pro-tip: Their gelato scoops range from Php 130 - 150 per scoop, but you can catch their flavor of the month, for only Php 80 a scoop! Sulit, right? 👌#NewRestaurantsFor2017

Ordered their ube velvet and taho gelato. The ube was flavorful, creamy yet not overly sweet. A little pricey though (120pesos). The Taho gelato was a big surprise for me, it was soy milk based just like your good ol taho, topped with sago and coconut syrup. A very unique interpretation of your favorite filipino morning protein drink.

First time to try BONO Gelato's stuff. What I ordered:1) "Build Your Own Brownie Sundae" (₱200)  - Brownie, S'mores gelato, pretzel crumbs and caramel syrup. The gelato was OK, nothing special or extraordinary. Perhaps I could have chosen a more unique flavor (alas, their famous Taho gelato was not available). In my opinion, it had the same consistency of any other ice cream, I couldn't find the denseness as I expected from a gelato (or there was anything wrong with my palate I guess). But I thought I made a good combo because of the pretzel whose slight saltiness cut the overall sweetness of the entire dessert.I loved the brownie -- it was soft but dense, and not too sweet. I thought the dessert was worth the ₱200 price tag because you'll really feel full after eating only a few spoonfuls. The brownie was quite heavy!2) Cafe Americano (₱110)The Cafe Americano was just OK too. Bitter as it should be.(Visited November 2016)

Recently tried their Strawberry and Pistachio flavors. Both were really good albeit the different flavor profiles. Pistachio is more on the creamy side while the strawberry is understandably sour and tastes close to a sorbet. Cioccolato is by the way, a classic must-try.Giving a 4.5 because they're pricier than other gelato places. BUT, I am yet to try a flavor I don't love. :)
