It was day 33  from the onset of the Metro Manila Quarantine. Three days later it was expanded to the whole island of  Luzon and was called Enhanced Community Quarantine. Thus began the resurrection of home cooking and  having the family together 3 to 5 meals a day 24/7. After a while kitchen-fatigue sets in  and  the desire for  a brief respite from the stove becomes acute. That is when home delivery becomes a god-send. Praise the heavens Bad Bird now delivers too.

I ordered food for delivery - been looking forward to trying their famous chicken and the torched corn for a long time.The chicken had portions that were under cooked, with bloody parts especially near the bone / joint area. The skin held the most flavor, but it tasted like the chicken pieces had been cooked in oil that had fried many, many pieces before it.The torched corn looked nowhere near the pictures you see here. For P 125 each, it barely filled a third of the way of the container it came in, and nothing special in the taste.Try it once, sure. I seriously doubt you'd return or order again.

Had a really nice meal here, we had lunch set A , 600 for 2 persons which has lots of servingI was just disappointed because halfway thru our meal the chicken tenders was raw, it even had hairs on it considering that it shouldn’t have. Lost my appetite.Too bad I was enjoying already Didn’t took a photo since I was just there for a quick lunch and I ididnt raise up this concern as i Dont want to waste my energy.Hope this improves

The staff are not too friendly and we had to wait too long to be seated even though it was hardly a busy time. In any case, I will still recommend Bad Bird for its delicious corn with cheese and the spicy fried chicken. Good serving size and great value for money.

Just when you thought fried chicken is already “gasgas” (tired) as a food concept, here comes Bad Bird with its own bold statement: the umami fried chicken. While many restos would tout the absence of MSG (monosodium glutamate) in their dishes, Bad Bird goes all out with it, using this ingredient in its natural and processed forms: dashi, mushroom powder, furikake, miso, and more!

Fried chicken is probably one of the fail-safe dishes that one can eat or prepare. You can eat it as is or you can find just about any side dishes that will go well with fried chicken. Although, you can eat it daily and no one is forcing you not to, eating fried chicken on a daily basis may not be beneficial to your health. But I get it, if you it a couple of times a week, especially if they are the juicy and plump ones. I remember I knew someone whose kid only fried chicken, all sorts and versions of it, and nothing but just that, although he isn’t sickly; I just can’t imagine LOL!

I don't see unusual on the chicken except the breading is thick and the chicken are a bit salty. I enjoyed the corn soup though. For me the price is a bit high for the star of their menu.

I have not tried Bad Bird until now, and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. I tried their fried chicken sandwich, and also got an order of the caramelized pineapple, as well as a few bites of the torched corn. The fried chicken sandwich was just alright, the bottom side of the bun was noticeably cold, they could have done well to toast the bottom a little too. The chicken fillet itself was a bit small, as is their regular fried chicken, but that's a bit common here in the Philippines; though a big chicken fillet is something that I'm really looking for in a fried chicken sandwich. I didn't feel like the flavor of the chicken came through enough, and I wish there was an option for it to be spicy. I would say that it's better to stick to their regular fried chicken. I also don't really love how they used cucumbers on the sandwich instead of the more typical pickle. Their sides are very interesting though, the caramelized pineapple tasted nice, it was a good balance of sweet and spicy and went well with the chicken. Their torched corn with cheese was about what you'd expect, I'm also quite interested in trying their cauliflower with smoky mayo. And also, their spicy fried chicken did not seem spicy at all, I would probably want to go for the spiciest option should I actually want something with heat.Price point here is a bit high, I got to 800 for 2 people with just a chicken plate, the fried chicken sandwich, and the caramelized pineapple.

We went here on a weekday and luckily they have the promo of Php599 only for the umami chicken with corn & cream cheese plus the potato balls. We first thought that we would only be getting 2 pieces Of umami chicken only to find out that it will be 6 big pieces. The promo also comes with unli rice so we were really very full. The taste of the umami chicken here though is very different from the one from the Hole in the wall at Century City Mall. Luckily, I got a buy 2 take 2 promo for drinks still applied but we didn't get to maximize it since they served it all at the same time without ice. 😅
