This branch  is a full size table-service restaurant serving not only coffee, tea, breads, and sweets, but also pasta, rice and other full meals. I could totally imagine myself working or just chilling here the whole afternoon. To accompany me while waiting for a friend, I ordered one Salted Pistachio Ice Cream Ice Blended. It's my new favorite non-coffee drink. There is just this addicting flavor to it. By default, drinks are served in glasses or cups, assuming you are going to consume the whole drink in the cafe. You can opt to have them in takeaway paper cups if you just stopped by to get a drink. Also, their drinks (ice blended) are only available in large size.

Hubby had a heavy merienda so he wanted something light for dinner. I remembered my ever reliable salad fix fave, Coffee Bean.26th Street Bistro is a more upscale version of Coffee Bean with more food options. Hubby went for the Prawn & Mango Salad with Wasabi Dressing. The mangoes were sweet and the prawns were good. The spice level was tolerable so hubby asked for more Wasabi.I can't believe he had a salad and I had an ultra rich plate of Rosti with Smoked Chicken Ham, Sunny Side Up Egg and Provolone Cheese Sauce. The Rosti was mushy more than crunchy. Imagine hash browns shaped liked a Pancake. It was corny as is so I had to evenly distribute the other elements with every bite.We shared a slice of Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake which took forever to be served. Seems like they forgot about it. The cake was dry but the chocolatey buttery icing was so yummy.I completely forgot that the Tea Latte comes in just one large serving here. I had to pace myself until I finished my African Sunrise Tea Latte. It was still warm at the end of the meal. A little bit of trivia, according to the server this is the only Tea Latte that does not contain caffeine. This is my favorite blend next to the Moroccan Mint since both have chocolate.I would probably come back if I were in this mall but I would definitely skip the Rosti.

Note: late reviewWhile i was killing time at Shang, i decided to get a cup of joe but...Smoked Salmon Florentine caught my eye. Food was served after a couple of minutes.   The dish is aesthetically appealing,  full of vibrant colors.  I was pleasantly surprised that it comes with poached eggs.   It's basically eggs benedict topped with smoked salmon. I like my salmon raw.  The smoked version has an iffy aftertaste.  Maybe I'm just used to eating sashimi all the time.  The poached eggs on the other hand is done beautifully.  I saw a couple of episodes of Masterchef,  poached eggs is hard to execute,  one has to have quick hands in removing the egg from the vinegar infused boiling water and yes,  timing is everything.  The hollandaise sauce is creamy and goes well with the yolk. On my next visit,  I'd skip the salmon and stick with eggs benny.

Trying out a new dining discount app...My thesis friends and I scheduled a long overdue meet up... Shangri-la Mall was the most accessible place for the three of us, so we decided to meet up in one of the establishments for dinner. My friend had this new dining app, Eatigo, installed and told us all about it. She told us that 26th St Bistro was at 50% off on our preferred time to meet up-- seriously, who can resist that? So we met up at 630pm at the East Wing of the mall... I think it was that much off because of the ongoing art seminar that night that was a pretty noisy at times. Otherwise, the atmosphere really wasn't so bad. My friend and I tried the tomato minestone soup which was just okay for me... It was a simple soup that tasted healthy and a touch bland. Nothing a dash of salt can't fix. I did like the Grilled Chicken Caesar salad that I had for dinner-- save for one thing. I asked for the hard boiled egg to be served on the side and they forgot; I hate hard boiled egg and I picked the pieces off my salad one by one. Plus I wish there was a little more dressing. My friend tried the cheeseburger; believe me, I was surprised this was on the menu with CBTL as my reference point. She did say it was good though. Our other friend tried the mushroom soup and the salad nicoise-- both were satisfactory. Servings of all the food were very generous. I ended the meal with a double vanilla tea latte, which they forgot to put in a to go cup... 😑 Despite the little things, I really can't complain because our dinner for three amounted to about P1300 because of Eatigo. Come on, dining at a Bistro for about P400/person is not bad at all... I will have to get around to downloading that app as well!👍🏻

The Matcha Green Tea Latte, is not frothy and thick the way it should be. Also the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie is Undercooked. Service is Slow. The Silver Lining in this is the staff is friendly and approachable

This is level-up CBTL, transitioning more into a resto-bar that is quite evident in its name. There are more items in the menu which include salads, sandwiches, main dishes and pasta, among numerous others. And yes, alcoholic beverages such as wine and (imported) beers are also available. Couple those with the modern and classy ambiance of the new Shangri-la Plaza Mall and one will surely enjoy a new dimension of CBTL experience of top of its signature coffee drinks. I have tried the pannacotta sampler (which included earl grey, vanilla and espresso) and it was a good option for dessert.

As the first branch of the upscale sub-brand of CBTL, I find that the slight markup on drinks for at-table order service is pretty worth it. There's all day breakfast, some light meals; I ordered a double chocolate latte and got to work for several hours, so I forgot to take pictures! Warning: there's wifi, but no outlets to recharge your phones or laptops. The BGC branch equivalent of this is much much bigger - showroom bigger - but the Shangri-la Branch is commensurate in size to other restaurants in the mall. It has a 70s retro look, with geometric "Q-Bert" floor tiling, mismatched chairs and blue velour sofa benches, and Edison lightbulb lighting. Meetings are held here, but everyone speaks in low tones, which is good.

To celebrate Earth Day, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf®, through its Caring Cup program, is supporting the United Nations’ 7th goal for sustainable development: AFFORDABLE AND CLEAN ENERGY. Recognizing that a great number of communities in the Philippines still continue to live without electricity in their homes, one of the most basic necessities for decent living conditions, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf® is hoping to do its part to respond to the need by giving the gift of light through its partnership with My Shelter Foundation for its Liter of Light project.

on the table: grilled cheese sandwich My-Food-O-Meter:taste: 4/5price: 3/5service: 3.5/5the grilled cheese sandwich tasted really good and the fries that went with it was delicious too. price is a bit steep and the aircon was almost non existent. nice ambiance though, it's a nice place to hang out and talk coz its not too loud to enjoy a good conversation.

Went here Thursday afternoon to get a salad and iced tea. Very happy with the place and the food & beverage.Interiors look more upmarket than the typical CBTL outlets with waiter service.Ordered the Insalata Ruchetta - a salad with Lola Rosa mixed greens, arugula, cherry tomatoes and candied walnuts dressed with balsamic vinaigrette and topped with shaved parmesan. Wow! Very tasty salad! Had one of their range of new Iced Sweet Teas - mix of fresh black Assam Tea with orange syrup. Tasted good and not at all like the industrial overly sweet iced teas served universally. At PHP 450 for the above salad and tea it's quite pricey, but worth it!
