Yamato Bakery is connected to Mitsuyado Sei-Men on Jupiter Avenue. It opens earlier than the noodle house but closes at the same time. It is possible to order pastries and cake from Yamato and bring them into Mitsuyado, like we did. And you can get 20 or 50 percent off certain pastries and breads, depending on the kind.Yamato is operated by the same owners of Karen's Kitchen and the various UCC coffee concepts around Metro Manila. What's interesting is how Yamato will use typical Japanese ingredients to some effect (think green tea, red bean, and so on), as well as some Filipino ones (like ube).We had red velvet and a strawberry shortcake to go after our seimen bowl at Mitsuyado; neither really stood out...Their cakes are a short notch below UCC and Karen's Kitchen, however, although of course I know they also have to follow the brand's standard preparations. Overall, it's a good spot for coffee and sweets in the Jupiter area, and it's hopefully a little less harder to park and hang out here, than on the strips closer to Poblacion and the other various government buildings on the other side of Makati Avenue.

Delicious baked goods at half the price when the clock hits 8pm. Unfortunately I don't pass by Jupiter a lot, but upon discovering many other establishments there I will be checking the ramen next to this.

Call time for our Poblacion Food Crawl is set at 9am.  I didn't make it on time as i overslept the night before (drank a boatload of red)  and i had to teleport from Marikina to Makati. I was in dire need of coffee.  Quickie stopover at Yamato Bakery for my caffeine fix.  I paired my cup of joe with the fresh fruit danish.  The danish is the prettiest pastry I've ever met.  Excellent color contrast and it's photogenic.  Apart from it's lovely looks,  it tastes good too.  Not to sweet and the pastry is soft with the right amount of flakiness.   The coffee is good too.   I was expecting it to be good as they use UCC coffee.  Yamato is always a good choice for carb cravings.

After a really good burger meal in the nearby Lazy Bastards, my friend decided to drop by their bakery. The staff announced that they were selling it at 50% off already on their pastries due  to its closing time. I was happy about it and got to try some of their delicious pastries. Their peach croissant is something that you should not miss as it was enough sweetness together with the bread used. They also have mini croissants  that anyone must try. I would definitely be back here and try their  other pasty options.

I looked for the mini croissants right away - 5 maple and 5 matcha to go. Maple for my daughter, matcha for me!!!Maple croissants were good - flaky with a good glaze of maple syrup.Matcha was okay - needs more matcha but I liked the red bean paste inside. They have good deals for their mini croissants:- Maple Pack of 5 for 78Php- Matcha Pack of 5 for 130Php
