Love Yabu. Delicious, quality and satisfying meal at a reasonable price. The set is just perfect, you have your protein (I usually get the pork or the fish) then unlimited rice, salad and miso soup, can’t beat that! And might I add that all of those sides are good: love the goma/ sesame dressing for the cabbage salad and even the rice is just the way I like it - never dry nor “old.”My most favorite appetizer here is the fried mozzarella katsu sticks! One of the best mozza sticks in my book- perfect crunchy with not too thick batter. And the dipping sauce complements it well.The only catch is that they are usually always packed during peak hours and weekends, but it’s worth the wait. And hopefully when customers seated see (because it has an “open space” design which is common in this strip of restaurants at the lower ground of Power Plant Mall) that there are people waiting in line, they will be considerate enough to leave right after they finish their meal and just continue the chit chat in another venue. 😉

After watching a movie, I was craving for something fried but I did not want to eat rice so, I immediately went here to check if they have a la carte offerings and they do have!So I immediately ordered. And while waiting, I did try to observe the following:Ambiance - 4.0/5.0The chairs are cozy and not worn out. The tables are clean and the temperature of the place is not too hot nor cold.Service - 5.0/5.0The servers are accommodating and really warm. They would even make sure that they follow a certain standard when it comes to serving the food amd making sure that you have the best one for today.Food - 5.0/5.0I did order the Hire Katsu and it was really well cooked. The pork is tender and not oily at all. I also love how thick the slices are.

Yabu! Yabu! Yabu! This is one of my favorite Katsu place. I like their Katsu Curry and Rosu Katsu Set. Most of the time I order for Rosu Katsu Curry because I like the combination of the Katsu and curry sauce. Aside from Rosu, you can also choose Hire, Menchi, and Tori Menchi.An order of a katsu set is served with refillable rice, miso soup, cabbage and pineapple or watermelon. I usually start eating the cabbage together with their Goma Sesame dressing. There is also a Wasabi dressing that you can try if you like wasabi. After the cabbage, I will have the miso soup then finally the Katsu Curry. For the rice, you can choose if you want white or brown rice. I usually have brown rice. Sabi nila, healthier daw yun! Haha. You can also choose the spiciness level of the Katsu Curry. I always have the mild one. I love the taste of curry and it makes me crave for more.This is certainly one of the food that make me happy. I always feel bloated after finishing the whole set. Sulit!P.S. I always ask for their cold house tea and some syrup to make the tea sweet. Masarap na and libre pa!

I always order their hire katsu set and it never stirred me wrong. Miso soup, tender and juicy pork tenderloin, shredded cabbage in sesame dressing, pickled vegetables and fresh fruits... always worth going back to.

As always, Yabu delivers the same quality food in all of its branches. What I didn't like in this branch is that the seats are so close, given that their space is small, that the customers are almost elbow-to-elbow while dining. They also didn't offer brown rice upon getting the order.

Hubby and I have been bingeing on Yabu these past few weeks and we haven’t gotten tired of their sets. Loved the freshness of their cabbages and the quality of their rice. I personally loved the Spicy Aoli my Ebi Patty comes with. Loved this branch since they do not insist on seating us with other people. They gave us a big table despite us being just a party of 2 since it was the next available table and we were next in line. Kudos to the manager who welcomed us.
