A good restaurant for me offers not just varieties in the menu, but can prove that every dish will certainly be as flavorful as the others. This has been my first experience in Wild Ginger and it’s not as I have expected it to be. Because there’s so much spices going on (especially in the Asian Tomato Soup and Lamb Adobo), the food feels heavy in an instant. Nonetheless, I’ll give Wild Ginger another chance. Upon checking in other reviews, there are still other food to taste that are really, really delicious.- Hannah, The Big BonesRead full review on our official website: thebigbones.ph@thebigbonesph in Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and website

What makes this place stand out among South East Asian Restaurant? I like the fact that the food they serve here feels and taste somewhat authentic. They actually have a lot of herbs/spices mixed in most foods they serve. Personal favorite would be their Pad Thai and Laksa.

I frequent Powerplant Mall, but never been to this shack. It was fitting to try it earlier to satisfy my Southeast Asian food craving. A huge board displayed outside with an image of a Hainanese Chicken didn't make me think twice to go in. Hainanese Chicken - soft, tender, and fragrant half-chicken bathed in rich tasty broth; perfect with ricePad Thai - one of the best I have eaten; everything that went to the plate complemented very well; there were generous amount of chicke, shrimps, and tofu cubes; highly recommendedVietnamese Spring Rolls - generic for my taste; the filling was ok and wrapper was "makunat"

The food here is close to authentic. I've had Beef Rendang, Roti Prata, Crispy Tawilis and Vietnamese Fresh Spring Rolls. I was really looking forward to their spring rolls as I really missed the one I had when I was in Vietnam last 2014. Taste is so-so and did not live up much to my expectation. Roti Prata is good and the Crispy Tawilis a must try!

Pleasantly surprised with great flavors here. Had the vegetable samosa, padthai & pomelo salad. Great selection & variety of asian cuisine. Interiors were simple and traditional but could use a bit of retouching, as with the food plating. Otherwise a great dining experience and a break from all the hyped-up, trendy food places.

I feel terrible when I pay for a dish I find “meh” or worse… “blargh”. I had that sentiment last Friday when I had lunch at a ramen place in Rockwell. The broth had a very odd taste and the appetizer we ordered was too salty. It’ll take me a long while before I decide to visit that place again. The only perk I got from the lunch was when my colleague mentioned a list of restaurants I have to try. One of the restaurants she mentioned was Wild Ginger. Hello, Wild Ginger! I always pass by this restaurant and it never really made me curious as I only see a few people eat here. But since my colleague mentioned that this quaint restaurant serves good food, I had to give it a try. R was indecisive that night so I ordered for the both of us: Pad Thai (PHP245), Thai Green Chicken Curry (PHP285), and Asian Tomato Soup (PHP135). I also got a glass of cold Calamansi juice (PHP75). I was a bit iffy to order the tomato soup as it mentioned “spices from the East Indies” but I assumed that it wouldn’t be spicy. WRONG. It was so spicy that it made me cough and tear up. People who love spicy dishes would like this though. The Pad Thai was quite lovely. It had a generous serving of flat noodles and shrimps. R tried to get my shrimps though when he saw me saving it. (I like to save the best for last.) I loved the Thai Green Chicken Curry. It was rich in flavors and the chicken was so tender. I loved putting the curry sauce on my rice and munching on the chicken with the eggplant bits. This is a must order dish! I’ll definitely visit again but I’ll skip the tomato soup next time.

Wild Ginger has a reasonably good collection of Asian dishes. The food was good, although the portions could be larger. We ordered the thai pomelo salad, roti with curry, chicken biryani rice, chicken and pork adobo, and Indian butter chicken. I was pleasantly surprised that Butter chicken was right, taste, texture and color-wise! Good dining experience, and definitely worth visiting again. And the next time, we will try Thai!

My family and I would often see this restaurant on the ground floor of Powerplant Mall, but never thought of trying it out before (since we would often have pizza or dimsum as favorites). The interior was very homey and cozy, we had a good spot and our tables were good for all of us (a table for 6). I admire how polite the staff was, and how quick and efficient their service was. Being a sucker for Southeast Asian cuisine, I was excited to find that their menu had an equal portion that was vegetarian-friendly.We ordered the Beef Rendang, Lamb Adobo, Veggie Curry, and each of us with a serving of Dinorado rice. The Veggie Curry was very exquisite! The waiter did mention that it was their spiciest meal, and I loved it. It was how curry should really be (unless you prefer to have it mild, they have the Chicken Curry for that, or they could take the spice down a notch by your request). My folks and siblings loved the Beef Rendang and Lamb Adobo, but more of the latter. It was all worth trying, and we were so satisfied with our meal that we started planning which to try for our next visit. This is definitely good if you're up for a taste of Southeast Asian or Thai cuisine! It's not too decorate and out of this world, but it surely lives up to a good taste of home-made authentic meals.

Little jewel in Power Plant Mall for Asian cuisine. This is where we go when we want our Pad Thai fix. Great store concept- decor is very refreshing and light on the eyes. Staff is attentive and friendly. My only comment is that the store is sort of dim inside and I cannot see my food properly, haha
