I'm not a big fan of salads, but the Watami Salad made me a believer! Hope all salads are as tasty as this. Enjoyed the sukiyaki and the beef stone pot as well :)

Chasu Rice in hot stone pot: P195I’m not a huge fan of rice bowls so I have nothing to compare, but so far I enjoyed every bite. This dish is a mix of white rice, ginger slices, crab (I think) and mini chopped pieces of pork. At first I thought it was Sisig but nope, just regularly cooked pork.

Watami is owned by Bistro Group, the same people behind Italianni's. It's actually a franchised brand as it has several branches worldwide. It's a casual dining place serving Japanese cuisine. I would say that it's a great meeting place for get-together with friends due to its cozy ambiance. Service was good as the waiters were attentive. We ordered Watami Salad, Pepper Beef Rice in Stone Pot, Salmon and Flying Fish Roe Rice in Stone Pot. For our drinks, we had Passionfruit Green Tea and Passionfruit Mango Tea. Serving size was just enough for one person. We liked the rice meal in stone pot. I would say that it was similar to Sizzling Pepper Steak. Overall, this restaurant is just fine for me.

The only place that serves "Yakult Green Tea", as authentic as I can get locally, the first time we dined here I was impressed. The prices were pretty good and the ambiance was balanced, in the sense that everyone gets some comfortable distance even when the place is jam packed. The chairs are always comfy and we always get a seat near the door and just a view of the TV with Jordan's highlights playing on mute with Japanese anime theme songs playing on the background.Sudden price change:The self-grilled pork started at 299, became 399 which was rather surprising... A lot of the menu items had noticeable price increases in which wasn't explained. Service fell from the first time we got there. Our first time was unbeatable, there was water right off on our table, the bill came and they weren't so pushy with getting the bistro card. On the third and fourth times? We had to ask for water around twice, and they were a little pushy about getting the card.A difference in service/But Food's good all the same:They used to sit by you as you ordered, I kind of liked how that was rather unique to this place, but at some point similar to the price changes, the service changed as well. And it wasn't as good now as it was before. Which was rather disappointing. It still serves pretty good food, the teppanyaki is tasty and the Japanese rice is nicely cooked. The presentation on some dishes disappeared and the portions on our favorite self-grilled pork became irregular and the cuts rather bad. Will visit this place again soon! And see if it improved somehow as they have competitors around the area now. (And hopefully they didn't increase the price again)
