Ordered from here from delivery via website. Food came very well packed with adequate amounts of Katsu sauce and mustard sauce. Loved the tuna sashimi. This was really fresh and tastyThe tonkatsu set and the oroshi Katsu (with grated radish) set were both good, but a little dense and difficult to chew in parts. Not absolutely crisp as I like it. All the same, it's pretty good and good value for money too.

When the sister-in-law came home a couple of weeks ago, of course, there's got to be a lot of eating out. Lol! . This time, we tried this restaurant in Poblacion in Makati. It was hard to find, it was actually hidden if I may say. We got there around 12 in the afternoon already, and I was surprised as it looks like we're the first customers, even the staff looks surprised because we're too many and it doesn't look like they're used to it. They looked overwhelmed actually. I think because as I've said, the place was really hidden, you've got to go inside a building first to get into the restaurant, and the building's pretty small.

This small Japanese restaurant will definitely surprise you with their cooking. They don't focus much on ambiance and let their food do all the talking. Tonkatsuya is on-par or even higher with commercially-located Japanese restaurants. They're even recognized in spot.ph Top Tonkatsu Restaurants in Manila.Hirekatsu (No Fat Pork Tonkatsu) Set P280Hamburger Curry P280

Went for a dinner here last night.  Simple interiors, but the food and service are very good.  I ordered a Hirekatsu Cheese Set.  It's serving is very reasonable, was really tended, and tasted very well.  The pricing could turn off some people, but it's lower and definitely more competitive than other Japanese restos like Kimukatsu and Yabu.Definitely I'll come back here, I wanna try their Curry Katsu :)

Didn't even know it was there but very happy I found it. The food is great and price points are perfect; Good value for money. i can't vouch for their other dishes but mine hit the spot. 👌

This is my favorite place to head to for cheap but good quality tonkatsu. I love the feel of the restaurant and the fact that there is parking, compared to the one in Pasong Tamo which is difficult to go to. I love their rice tea - it cuts off the oil from the fried dish.

While i won't do cartwheels over the taste. I was surprised by the portions! The service was very good, food arrived hot on the table very efficiently, staff were courteous and accommodating.I ordered the chef's reco, katsu curry and it did not disappoint, serving is good for 2 if you're not heavy eaters, surprisingly the curry sauce had pork chunks swimming in the sauce other than the katsu that it came with. Sauce was a bit sweet which i wasn't used to, still enjoyed my curry very much! Also ordered the kani salad which is a big portion as well, good size serving if you're on a diet and all you want is a salad.Score:Taste 3Service 5Portions 5Cleanliness 5

I came in at 12:40pm and the startled staff jumped to their feet, turned the aircon on and gave me the menu. I was practically alone. I ordered the katsudon and it was competent. The pork cutlets were tender, the sauce was a bit on the sweet side. It was okay. The katsudon was served in 5 to 10 minutes. It came with miso soup which tasted like the real deal. And it was. Bean sprouts as appetizer. All served on a cafeteria type tray which they never bothered to remove. This resto wants to project class but it's really mass market. What with an area like N. Garcia, JPRizal? No wonder it was empty. My advice: drop your price, bro. Bgy Valencia can't afford and is intimidated by you. I'd come back every now and then to support them. They mean well.

Had dinner here with my office friends, and everything tasted so good. We ordered two cheese katsu sets, and one katsu set. They were generous with their servings. The miso soup tasted authentic. Gyoza was cooked just right. Delicious food for an affordable price :) Serving was pretty quick, too. Waited less than 15 minutes.

Recently had dinner here with a propect client. They have big servings for the set meals. I had the tonkatsu set while my client ordered for the miso set. The place is surprisingly quiet. Staff are nice and friendly. They are on their toes to serve us tea and water. They were able to serve our orders very timely.
