Getting stuck in Makati due to rush hour traffic can actually be an opportunity for a website adventure. So I decided to try this place out. And I wasn’t disappointed! I loved the combination of my Mini Chopped (Pork Loin) Tonteki Set (tender and tasty chopped pork loin which tasted like it had been marinated in a special sauce and cooked in oil in a cast iron skillet and sprinkled with toasted garlic slivers), Shredded Cabbage drizzled with Roasted Sesame Dressing, and Three Kinds of Mushrooms stir fried in butter and topped with Japanese Fish Flakes, accompanied by piping hot steamed Japanese rice. I then washed everything down with refreshing Ripe Mango Shake. Now there’s one satisfying way to wait out Metro traffic! I give them two thumbs up! ;)

Let's unli rice sa araw na mga puso!We were at Tokyo Tonteki at 11:30 to avoid the long waiting line. The boys from our team brought us there for Valentine's and at first, I doubted their choice as there was practically noone at the resto.A few minutes later, the queue was up!The service was great and the meal was splendid. The rice wasn't particularly memorable. What really drew my tastebuds was their sushi and my order, salmon. The vegetables also came unlimited - thus, the meal was particularly feeling. Be at the right attire. Yung maluwangluwang! We also ordered potatoes as well and it was to die for! Kahit na busog na ako, I kept eating the potatoes.I will definitely go back here.

This isn't the first time I ate here. Usually its me and my mom who always eat here but this time I'm with my brother and his girlfriend. And the food does not dissappoint. I like their mini chopped tonteki set. And we also order the potatoes. Will definately come again and again. 👍👍

Surely you will get the price you are paying for. Great staffs, accommodating manager and servers, even the food is exceptional! Would definitely dine here again when I drop by at Greenbelt

Went to this branch last Saturday and Sunday (yes, 2 consecutive days in a row haha) I ate the mini chop set (?) and the menchi katsu set. The mini chop set tastes good. If you crave adobo with a more flavorful/savory taste, this is for you. The menchi katsu set was surprisingly good because I know the chop sets were their specialty so I don't expect much from their katsu. But tbh, I liked it - the crunchiness of the outside, oozing cheese from the inside and of course the meat itself. The side dishes were also sulit. They compliment with the main dishes. ❤️

I've never heard of Tokyo Tonteki before and the only reason we ate here was because it was one of the only remaining shops open in Greenbelt when we were looking for places to have dinner in. But we were pleasantly surprised. The staff were very attentive and not to mention patient. We were their last customer but they didn't even rush us or make us feel that we were causing them any trouble. They have unlimited rice, cabbage, and soup. Their crazy maki, the best seller in the appetizers did not disappoint. The maki was perfectly balanced and fairly priced. It's a definite must have when dining here.I also ordered their best seller porkloin steak, specifically, their regular tonteki. They had a large option, but personally, the regular itself was quite generous already. Taste-wise however, I didn't much like it. Maybe it's just a matter of preference but the tonteki didn't blend well with the rice. It tasted much like a regular pork adobo but more tender and less salty. I found that it worked well with the cabbage though, so I pretty much gave my rice to my companion and made the cabbage my rice substitute.Their chicken teriyaki was good and worked well with the rice. We were offered their matcha cheesecake for dessert, and again, it was quite good. It was a nice ending to a filling dinner. Also, you can get a free california maki on your next visit with a minimum spend of P500, so that's a pretty good incentive for coming back again.

Really yummy here! Found out about this place from famous Youtubers who live in Japan and they were raving about it. It did not disappoint! the food was reasonably priced too because they had refillable rice and veggies its just like Yabu but with japanese style porkchops.

Tokyo Tonteki will always be our go to place for loaded but affordable meals. Their mini tonteki sets are priced reasonably and very fulfilling. Try their Karaage with Teriyaki Sauce ❤️

We tried the sliced pork, beef and seafood tonteki and one appetizer and our bill reached 2k. I don't think its worth it. One review said it tasted like (pork) adobo, unfortunately the description is not too far. The salmon was overcooked. The beef was not so bad, but its not something i'm gonna come back for.

They have unli rice, cabbage and soup with their meals. I ordered their Chicken Teriyaki and loved it. Hubby got their Hamburg or Burger Steak and was not a fan. Their Kani Salad was nice. Loved their complimentary Tonteki Soup which is Miso Soup with some bits of meats.
