We were there for Valentine's Day. They really set up the mood with balloons, dim lighting, candles on the tables and a live musician. The waiters were courteous, polite, and quick to get our empty plates and refill our glasses with water. Although the buffet selection is limited, the food is good enough to satisfy a person. They have an appetizer, a salad, a  soup, a pasta, main dishes, and desserts. We just have to note though that their "tomato creamy soup" is lacking in creaminess especially that they claim it to be creamy. Plus, there is a depth of flavor in their beef casserole, but there is quite something off with their beef. We will also appreciate it if they replenish the buffet table in a timely manner. Nevertheless, dining in The Strands Cafe is already a good deal for a couple especially if you'll be trying out all their selections.

In this post: Tomato Cream Soup, Samosa with Curry Sauce, Salad, Beef Casserole, Chicken Fillet with Hoisin Sauce, Vegetable Lasagna, Parmesan Crusted with Mango Salsa, Fudgy Cheesecake Brownie, Strawberry Panna Cotta   The Strand Cafe is the restaurant inside One Pacific Place Serviced Residences, Salcedo Village, Makati City. They serve breakfast buffet everyday from 6AM to 10AM for Php 429, and lunch buffet Monday to Friday 11AM to 2PM for Php 499. Food selection varies from Filipino dishes to International choices which may be availed through buffet or ala carte. Ala carte options include breakfast meals, appetizers, main courses, pasta, pizza, and a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. The overall ambiance at The Strand Cafe's Valentine's Dinner Buffet is what made the night special. Not all food were outstanding but pretty decent for buffet. For the main course, you get fish, beef, and chicken, while for your carb fix, you have rice, fried rice, and potato wedges. I cannot say the same take on their breakfast or lunch buffet as that is something I still have to try.

We've been meaning to go here for a while now. Not too impressed with the food and drink offerings. Beef Goulash was just ok, markedly inferior to Balkan's fare. Golden Tofu was ok. Sangria didn't seem to have have the right fruity taste. Not too exciting to write home about.

Our team had a breakfast buffet here courtesy of our very generous Operations Manager. I was very excited that I digged in on my favorite egg omellete which to my dismay does not taste very good. The chicken tocino did not passed my taste test also as well as the fried rice. I kind of like their champorado and the aglio e olio though.

Me and my colleagues had a buffet breakfast here, for a very affordable breakfast of Php299, they offer a wide variety of choices. I love their creamy champorado as well as their pasta. The egg omelet was bland and their tocino is too sweet for my taste. The place is well decorated, it spacious with a comfortable chairs.
