Manam at the Mess Hall is absolutely fantastic. The place is spacious and well decorated, giving a fewling of quiet luxury. Ordered the lechon batchoy (as yummy as it sounds), salt and pepper squid (better than most but not the best I've had) and kamias-lemongrass shake (very refreshing). A bit pricey but not enough to deter a website like me. Heartily recommend this place.Visit #2. Loved the sisig with chicharon puff, the lechon kawali, and the chocolate mallow cookie. Did not like the garlic adobo pasta. Score almost went down, except that cookie was all kinds of awesome.

Food is okay but they have lackluster service. A lot of faulty facilities as well when we came there for a party. Also they shame people for being drunk during a party.

My friends and I decided to eat at Mess Hall along Chino Roces, Makati located in Karrivin Plaza. Last Wednesday, February 26. After a tiring day in school, we all just wanted to spend time and eat out together. We chose Mess Hall because of its convenient location. It is a 3 to 5 minute walk from our school. We thought it was a good place to hang out because we wanted to enjoy our time and not feel pressured to eat our meals fast just so the restaurant could accommodate more people. The restaurant from the outside looks intimidating. The majority of the diners were professionals. We did not see anyone who is around our age. The ambiance was fairly serene. We did not have to exert effort to hear each other. The staff were friendly and accommodating to all customers. Although the restaurant is self-service, they still attended to our needs. After going through their menu, I asked the server what their bestseller is. She recommended Chicken Inasal Skewers and Chicken Chop. I chose the latter because after reading the description, it seemed appetizing. The meal costs 255 pesos I would say that it is not budget- friendly for students. The customer service was good and we did not have to wait long for our orders. The presentation of the food was enticing. However, I was turned off by the sweetness of the breading because it overpowered the taste of the chicken. The chicken itself was bland and needs improvement in terms of flavor. My friends enjoyed the meals they ordered. I may have also enjoyed if I ordered something different. Despite of my experience, this will not be my last visit. I may try other items on their menu in the future.

Our team ate here for lunch, was just a bit disappointed because I'm not a rice person, I'm supposed to order pasta, but at that time all their pastas are not available anymore, good thing they have variety of rice, so I just ordered grilled liempo with red rice. It's good though the sauce doesn't really compliment it. This is one of the hole in the wall restaurants in Chino Roces and a must try, specially their huge cookies. Don't expect it to be cheap as the restaurant is like a high-end food court, pay as you order.
