I visited Sofrito for an instant dinner after obtaining a haircut from the barbershop upstairs on a single building. Since it has been raining, I purchased a plate of asopao and empanada. I discover the soup bowl to end up being too little for the purchase price; tasteis very easy. The empanada I purchased appeared and tasted re-fried. I had been supposed to get some good pastries for desserts but transformed my mind. Affordability in this cafe is low. Just redeeming factor of the restaurant may be the pleasant service of the waiting staff. True to its title, food inside Sofrito feels and tastes home-cooked (that's, when your good home cook is on holiday).

Thought the place only a wee little bit pricey provided the elements and the environment but I still left not minding it. Could sample a few meals because we were an organization. Mofongo, empanada... Still left with an excellent impression of the area. Somebody inthat kitchen actually loves to cook!

I found the joint while jogging along the street searching for a spot to eat at specifically noon. Got it, had been smiling when I noticed the menus.. I'm no blogger, I simply eat so I'll lower it brief. My companions got major dishes and gota lovely empanada coz I has been having espresso.. Imagine how good it will likely be. I tried all of those other food, it had been satisfying. Doesn't look quite though.. Therefore came in my own empanaditas.. Cute coz it's little.. Took a bite and the pastry had been starchy natural! RAW! It isn't gonna eliminate me but seriously... Sent it back again to cook it more, also it was still natural. Bottom line, have a small amount of care if not really an increased standard coz individuals pay to consume. Will I keep coming back? No... I didn't get my money's worthy of. I wish them good fortune though coz I love the concept.

Authentic Puerto Rican around! Mofongos are great! Their edition of a Cubano sandwich can be excellent. Their drink selection isn't that interesting though. Costs are not cheap, however, not expensive either.

The only real Puerto Rican food I've tasted is cubano sandwich and I have to say, their helping is true good :) Mofongo balls (with chicharon) and freshly cooked poultry soup are my recommendations too. Met the proprietors within my visit-a Puerto Rican woman and aFilipino gentleman, a short conversation put into the Puerto Rican sense of the resto.
