They have a clean restroom and good and kind servers very polite, it's just a bit too pricy for the best seller ramen due to the small servings of seafood like the squid, but the taste was delicious, it would also be great if they can clean the place, buy new curtains and install better lighting

Been frequenting Kikufuji over the past 10yrs or so then moved to Hatsu Hana in Herald Suites across the street after Kikufuji has turned into a crazy commercialized Japanese resto. Then today, decided to try Shinjuku. Sashimi and Mixed Teppanyaki all good. But the Pork Rib ramen is a masterpiece and must try! Ultra tender pork ribs in a rich shoyu broth. I dont think you will taste anything like this in any other ramen place.

Our first visit here was on 21 Feb 2017, and we came back more than ten times since. :DFOOD:- Beef Ramen: If it's your first time at Shinjuku, get this! The beef is tender and fall-off-the-bone good, the soup is tasty & warm and the noodles give you the perfect bite.

dined here a few years back, i remembered i tried hiyashi chuka ramen here. it was pricey (everyrhing is!). there are better hiyashi chuka ramens in the area. would give this a try next time.

Good spicy Ramen. Their crunchy Maki is amazing! Been here to eat every now and then when time permits. The fact that I still return here every now and then is a good sign that the flavor they serve is time tested. It's not an everyday thing to eat Ramen. But Ramen with spicy Maki on a rainy day at Shinjuku? COUNT ME IN!

Craving for ramen last friday. We’re near the vicinity of Little Tokyo and we dine in Shinjuku Ramen House. At around 9pm, the place us still half full by diners. I am so happy, wish granted that night! Before anything else , pls be informed that they had big serving. 😊 We had :⛩Gekikara Ramen (P390) miso based soup with chasu (pork), mushroom and onion leaks. Mild spicy. Good for 2 pax. ⛩Gyoza (P180) for 4 pcs. Pork gyozas, served hot! ⛩Mixed Teppanyaki (P465) mixed veggies, shrimps and beef. ⛩Spicy Tuna Maki (P195). This is an aburi kind of sushi (flame seared) Verdict: Satisfied my ramen craving. The bowl is surprisingly big! The broth is good and tasty. I love its mild spicy flavor. The mix teppanyaki is great! Beef is flavorful and tender, the veggies are freshly cooked. The spicy tuna maki is crunchy. All in all, food served is of quality with a reasonable price.

Shinjuku was the first ever proper ramen I have had in my life, this review will cover both that first time, and my return almost 6 years after.Shinjuku's broth hasn't really changed in the slightest, a nice punchy broth that is just barely overpowering compared to everything I've tasted in between the years. It was thick enough to coat the noodles, but not thick enough to make you gag while drinking it. I have already tasted the Shoyu and the Beef ramens here, and the Braised Beef is almost an insult to thier wonderful broth. There's nothing wrong with the Braised beef per se, the flavor is good, the beef has just the right amount of tenderness for a bite, but it masks that broth so bad it's sad. It's definitely not for the puritan and more for someone who wants a Chinese twist.Thier noodles are always good at medium, but you can go firmer for more bite to go with the well balanced broth. In both ocassions I ordered the Sashimi plate and it really is a joy to the palete. The Shrimp and Crabstick is an odd sight and doesn't fit, the Tuna actually got better between the years, the Salmon quality is second only to what we get right from a nearby high-end market, and the Eel is still the best I have tasted anywhere. Izakaya next door has a better velvety feel to the eel, but Shinjuku better captures its flavor. The atmosphere here is cozy and almost serene, there is no background music playing here and with free hot tea, you just wanna kick back and relax. Although this may also be related to a lack of people on both times I went, which is worrisome to say the least.Price-wise from one of the cheaper bowls I remember, they're now actually almost the same as Santouka. It's not exactly as casual a dining anymore based on price. Additionally in my last visit, insects are a pressing issue. A persistent fly was around us and I saw a smaller fruit fly enjoying the garnish on my sashimi (thankfully not the sashimi itself). It gained 5 stars from me on my first visit, but the issues above made knock down a star for it, it's kinda hard to return to when it's already out of the way as it is.

Good ramen and portion. The restaurant focused on items that can be served with quality and freshness. No fishy taste and fishy ambiance like there neighbor restaurant.

We ordered the following:Chirashi Sushi: The fish weren’t fresh; they were thinly sliced and break when held by chopsticks. The rice was good.Manten Ramen: Broth wasn’t thin but looked like cornstarch was added. Not much umami flavor can be tasted with the soup. The noodles were wanton. The overall taste would be close to chopsuey soup with wanton noodles. There is 30.00 PhP charge when you ask for the noodles to be split.

Shinjuku for the longest time has been and still is one of the best Japanese restaurant in the country. Obviously, I rarely give a 5 stars rating and this may even be the 1st.Food: they still offer the best ramen in Manila since time immemorial and what's good about them is that they are really really consistent in terms of quality and taste.Actually, all the dishes we ordered the night I and my companions were there are super delicious. OHISHI!!!Ambience: was my 1st time in this branch so I was amazed by their interiors the moment we went in. It gives you the feeling that you're in Japan.Service: all waiters and waitresses were polite, respectful and pleasant. Fast service too.Oh, even the guard was so nice. Will definitely visit this branch again when I'm in Makati and craving for Japanese cuisine.Keep up the good work, Shinjuku peeps,Kampai!
