Way before the ramen craze hit Manila, there was Shinjuku. While there may be a lot of ramen places around, Shinjuku remains to be one of my favorites. My staples are Gekirara Ramen and Gyoza. Their Gekirara Ramen is beyond compare and their Gyoza is seriously the best! I have tried practically all the ramen places in Manila but I have yet to taste Gyoza that will be at par with Shinjuku's.--------------Just an update to this review, I decided to try something new today and ordered Karakuchi Negi Ramen. I regret not having tried this earlier. Everybody else's Tantanmen will pale in comparison! Absolutely delicious!Just a caveat though, I never liked their Shio or Shoyu but after much thought, Shinjuku is honestly the best ramen place for me. :)There are no long lines, no rules (sharing and to-go are allowed), good service, big servings and very affordable - how can you go wrong? :)

My favorite Japanese restaurant since I was little. Every time we have a special occasion and want to splurge a bit, we go here since the food here is quite expensive but very reasonable. We also have a 10% discount card which is only honored in this branch, so yeah, we love it here. My fave is the gumoku-chahan which you can eat on it's own or you can also order some tempura and the best tasting gyoza. The sushi and sashimi here is also fresh and delicious. Don't forget to try their ramen, you won't be disappointed. Most of the foods here are also good for sharing.

Had a regular bowl of karakuchi negi ramen and kimchi. I asked the server for a spicy ramen but i had it with no spice at all... Though the broth was thick and flavourful enough. I just had a few kimchi which tasted very salty for my tastebuds. Price quite affordable. Im satistied anyway.

This place is very established in the makati avenue strip. If i'm not mistaken they are the only japanese restaurant on this specific strip. I recently had lunch here with some clients. The usual wait for a table. But still the wait was ample. I had some noodles and of course salmon sashimi. The place is still crawling with foreign patrons. They must truly became popular throughout the years fpr their authentic japanese taste.

If you are looking for an authentic Japanese restaurant, this place is a good place to go. Their Ramen are number one - servings are good for 2-3 persons. I love their Crazy Maki and Sushi. The price are reasonable.
