I was here for a cocktail party and the ambiance was really great! Displayed on the right side was a huge collection of shoes which totally amazed me.

Salon de Ning is a classy place to get fab drinks with a cozy ambience to boot.Martinis are mixed right and they do have some interesting cocktails. I tried Fidel's Cigar (P350 ++) with a cigar smoked infused rum. A great night cap on a slow Tuesday evening. They do have free popcorn, cornick, & chips that will keep you ordering for more drinks.Drinks are pretty expensive but nothing beats the feel of this bar. I like getting a seat where I could see the lobby on a late weekday night. It's very interesting to watch foreign guests bringing in the "P. Burgos" girls through the lobby. The hotel security discreetly asks for identification from those "Island Souvenirs". I just wonder if those white boys know that their bringing in lady boys. SURPRISE!!!!

I used to frequent Salon de Ning every Wedenesday to watch my favorite jazz band play (sadly they dont play at Pen anymore) . What makes it even better is that Wednesdays=Ladies' Night! From what I remember, the first drink is free, and the drinks that you get after that is buy 1 take 1. My girl friends and I get pretty hammered with just 500 pesos per head. As stated, they have pika-pika which they regularly refill. The waitresses are really friendly and attentive and I usually just ask for their suggestions on what drink to get.At around 10pm, there's a DJ playing old 70s-80s music and it's nice to let loose and dance, ala Titas of Manila.
