**This restaurant is the reason why I'm on website to start reviewing/criticizing restaurants and help others to make the most out of their hard-earned money and have a wonderful and fulfilling dining experience.**I went here on Valentine's Day with my girlfriend last Sunday. Originally, we had reservations at another restaurant in the Greenbelt area, but Roux caught my eye. Roux has that homey feel. White walls. Large windows. Outdoor seats to resemble a veranda. Blue lounge chairs inside. Artworks framed. And an open kitchen. It was amazing. That was until we ordered the food. I had the tender beef bourguignon while Diane had the truffle cream pasta. The tender beef was, indeed, tender. But the taste was horrible. The sauce was at least there to compensate for the lack of flavor on the beef. Diane's truffle cream pasta was above average, but it didn't warrant the high cost (close to Php 400). We could have had the same pasta on another restaurant, and paid half for it instead. For dessert, we had the Malagos Chocolate Souffle. Malagas is a locally produced chocolate brand, and that was a plus for me (Support local, folks). For Php 300 though, the souffle was a disappointment. As an avid Masterchef viewer, I've learned that souffle is a French dish that means "puffed up." Which is why the dessert is, as the name implies, puffed up. In fact, there's a myth going around that when a loud sound was produced, the puffed up part should open up. That's how soft it should be.Long story short, it didn't do that. And the locally produced dark chocolate, coupled with the homemade milk just didn't mesh.Overall, the Roux is a huge disappointment. My girlfriend and I spent the rest of our dinner discussing the lack of American feel to a restaurant that calls itself a "French-American bistro." Looking for a restaurant that is value for money? This isn't one of it.

This place is definitely a must try. The cheese burger was cooked to a nice medium well and nicely seasoned - the beef wasn't overpowered. You'll also be pleasantly surprised by the thoughtful deployment of just a little truffle oil.

The place is really cozy and I like the vibes here! The crew are really nice and was attentive. The food was nice, too but couldve been better in terms of serving size. Try their Roux Salad. I like how light it was and has proper portions of the ingredients. Their desserts was well prepared.
