In this post: 4 Heavenly Cakes: Mango Crunch, Strawberry Tart, Quadruple Chocolate Mousse, Red Velvet Cake They may look like Valentine's cake due to their heart-shape form, but I got them as my birthday cake! I was really overwhelmed upon seeing them. Four different cakes and they all look delicious! What a heavenly sight!. "A pastry lover’s delight! And award-winning too! Savor sweet cream mingling with alternate layers of fresh mangoes and crunchy graham crust. Mouthwatering, aren’t it?"

Love this place, from the owners to their staff. They know their menu so well, and the food is a bit on the expensive side, but when it gets to your table, you will understand why. Plus, they allow my pug inside. 😍

Their cakes are delicious! They also make very good macarons. Not a big fan of their food. Pwede na, I guess. But definitely good for coffee, cakes, and other sweet (chocolate) treats!

I tagged along Tita N. and one of her best friends, Ms. G. to Magallanes to try PAD (Park Avenue Desserts), a quaint, little cafe that serves sandwiches, salads, pasta and desserts. This quaint, little cafe is a better Mary Grace for it's devoid of conceit (and pretense) of having little positive (and praises and haleluyas!) notes scribbled in cute stationeries tucked under the table glass. Don't get me wrong, Park Avenue Desserts also deals with things for the goody-two-shoes but the cafe is also serious with what they've been doing all these years... serving good food. And they have been. We had Roast Turkey with Cranberry Relish, Grown Up Grilled Cheese and Truffle Egg Salad. We were already bloating when we saw the poster of the Ensaymada Ice Cream Sandwich. We just had to have it. We ordered. We tried it. And we bloated even more. So, (with so much added calories) we paid and rolled to the car. We were three (happy) little pigs.Napping had never felt so good.

I was recommended their bestseller, the Almond Roca, and I can see why it's become a customer favorite. The chocolate is rich, indulgent, and not overwhelmingly sweet, and the vanilla cream in the center marries everything well. I'd give the store a higher rating just for the taste of that cake, but I was disappointed at their limited tea selection (no black tea whatsoever) and minimal seating.

I've found my BFF pasta in Makati City! Mushroom tarragon is number one on my list. Spicy spanish sardines pasta is just fine, nothing special. PAD salad is also good the balsamic vinaigrette is bursting in your mouth. They say grilled ensaymada is a must-try but I really don't like it. The taste is too flat. Better try the tomato , basil, mozzarella. It's like pizza but even better that it. Italian club is delicious but too pricey for the kind if taste it has.

Okay, so we got this mango cake from Park Avenue Desserts, Magallanes branch. All their cakes are beautifully arranged & all are Instagram worthy. It just lack deliciousness & is priced a bit high for the taste. The mango on top was too sour. It's acceptable if their cake is sweet, but the it's moderately sweet and is overpowered by the sourness of mango. The white chocolate on the side is great though, but only if eaten separately. I'm giving it a fair score for how they designed their cakes by heart. But please! Improve its taste! The price wouldn't been great if it's delicious, too. :)

The place is full during Sundays especially after mass. Went here one Saturday after my roastbeef craving at Dayrits. Place owned by famous dessert chef. Love the Cara Ice cream and Roca of course

Great cakes very bad slow service. Employees on the reception area not trained to entertain guests having special orders for cakes for special events even if they cater to it
