As a regular employee, I would say that the meals at Mexicali are quite pricey. It's not the typical meal price that will be suitable for a daily lunch out. It would cost you roughly 200 for a simple tacos set. They've offered 99 pesos rice meals but serving size was quite small. Only people with small appetite will be satisfied with their budget meals. I've tried their rice meals (arroz a la cubana and chicken) and burritos. Both were just okay.

You know there's really nothing to expect when you order a small meal. But when I ordered their Crispy Pork, I was really disappointed. Their Chicken is pretty decent though. I liked it. But I wouldn't recommend the Crispy Pork because first of all, it's not even crispy and second, it's all fat. The only thing that made me happy was the fries because it's so good with their garlic and chili sauces. The staff are ok though. But the service was slow. Tried their 99 meal, it was ok.

Order a meal set instead of ala carte cause it's much worth it. Though I honestly say that I don't like their Burrito here. But the Garlic Quesadilla is worth coming back. Staff were also friendly. For dine-in, you can just order in your seat. While for take-out, you need to fall in line.

Mexicali is a casual restaurant serving Mexican cuisine. Aside from burritos, tacos, quesadillas, salads and soups, they also offer meals that come with rice. I have tried their 99 pesos 2 piece chicken meal but I found the serving size quite small. The chicken was just okay. The tacos and burritos here are also okay. So if you're craving for Mexican cuisine, you can check out this place.

We decided to dine in here with my officemate. So after we ordered it took them almost 40 minutes to bring our food! It was so depressing that you have to wait for that long, the only thing that made me happy is their chicken and fries!

I really had a bad experience on this resto here. Not only that I waited for almost an hour for my food, the staffs are kind of insensitive and disregarded me. I like their food but their customer service sucks

Mexicali, it is what it is, lunch time food on the go meeting the needs of the masses. It does it well, but its not something you can have every day. Food can be a bit heavy, but at least they arent trying to be something they aren't.California burrito.

Happy to see an old favorite in RCBC Plaza! Ordered Carnitas or roast pork burrito with tacos and salsa on their side, cheese and jalapeno quesadillas and tried their sisig tofu rice meal which was nothing short of great for me! Happiness is love :)

We were supposed to see each other on Saturday. We were not supposed to have lunch together today but because he misses me (according to him) he dropped by the office and we grabbed a quick lunch. :) Yes, I'm lucky that way.We trooped to RCBC Plaza and headed to Mexicali which was located at the 2nd floor.Since it was just a lunch date, we opted to get the quickie meals that they had. I got the Fried Chicken and FM got the Chicken Rice Bowl. Both items cost only Php99 each.My meal was so-so in the sense that there was nothing special about it. In fact, the rice and the banana were downers because they were served cold. It was only the chicken that was hot and it was just your everyday ordinary chicken. The chicken rice bowl on the other hand was pretty good considering the price. The rice was tasty and had personality, the chicken was cooked right and tasted like fajitas.

Consistently terrible service.  We have tried it several times and they're just very rude and inconsistent. We left the office at 12 and didn't get back till 1:20.  Food comes out of the kitchen pretty randomly--other people got their orders before us who arrived late, I got my meal a half hour before everyone else in my party. Also, veggies cost double the price of anything on the menu..wtf?  You can get a much better meal at half the price anywhere else in RCBC.The food can be yummy, but very greasy.  You'll eat yourself sick on that garlic mayo.  Overall, they're are better lunch places to consider around here.  If you like Mexican, try Faburrito across the street.
