Expect a long wait to be seated because people are crazy for their ramen.I, however, am not impressed. I went for tantanmen. Broth is super rich. Maybe, I should've tried the shio or chasyu as what my sister recommended. Next time.

📍Mendokoro Ramenba- Super ChashuHands down, one of the best ramen in the metro. The broth is very rich without being overwhelming or “nakakaumay”. The noodles are just the perfect hardness and their chashu is super flavorful and tender (melts in your mouth)! My usual order would be the Shoyu Ramen as this personally offers the perfect ratio of chashu to ramen, but...See more @foodieinsider.ph on Instagram🤗

I ordered the soy-based ramen. It was good. The broth is not super rich which I like. The meat is quite salty for my taste but very tender. As for the gyoza, i like its taste. The only problem is that the gyoza easily breaks which is why it’s very hard to get using a chopstick.

The staff are just so much more friendly, laid back and engaging than their BGC counterparts. They would even check on us to see how we found our meals and if we needed anything else - and this was on a busy morning. The ramen broth was the same incredible flavor we've come back to over and over, but the gyoza dumplings were better than the ones I get on BGC. In Makati, the texture contrast is more evident, which made eating the dumplings so much more enjoyable. This is my first time to eat in this branch, and the experience will make me return more often despite not being the nearest one to where I live. So worth it.

I’ve been here many times before the pandemic, and coming here today really made me feel like times have changed. I am all for following protocols, but the way we were served today was not at all ideal. Today, I went here with my mom because I was telling her about their amazing ramen. When we arrived at the door, we were made to fill up a form via QR code. We were also told that after the form was answered, we could then proceed to order. It is important to note that there was barely anybody eating here at the time, and for some reason the lady at the front had to go inside. We weren’t told to wait outside, so we assumed that we were supposed to give our order slip to someone near the entrance because most of the staff were just standing by the entrance. Someone quickly took our order, but when the lady who previously left saw us, she was quick to reprimand us about how we should’ve waited outside instead of just going straight inside. It was then that I was embarrassed for my mom because it neither nice nor proper. When we sat down, the lady asked me what my name was so she could check the list. Apparently my name wasn’t there, so I must’ve done something wrong since the form didn’t immediately show up on my browser. I admit that it was also my fault to assume that a single submission for 2 people who live in the same household would do because it is acceptable in other establishments. No sweat, my fault, I submitted again for the two of us after she provided me the QR code. After a few minutes, she came back to our seats and again asked what our names were. Again, no one was eating there at the time, but apparently, she could not figure out which ones were ours even if the two most recent submissions showed up right at the bottom of the list. I am all for following protocols, and I would want nothing more than for this pandemic to end. I also wouldn’t want to make this concern very blown up since it was just one staff member and it’s really just ramen in the afternoon, but she really succeeded in making us feel unwelcome.I understand that she was just following protocols, and a lot of people must’ve failed to follow theirs for the past year, but it could never hurt to do things nicely.

I love Mendokoro. I have dined here numerous times. But I am writing this review because this was the first time someone disrespected me at this restaurant. I ordered an extra super chashu as side. As I got to the middle of the meat (I ate it little by little), I felt that it was cold, cooked outside but still frozen inside. I called the attention of the server to have it replaced. We were about to finish our meal then so there was no sense to serve another. Instead, we requested for it to be taken out. The manager (or so I think) approached us to say that taking that out wasn’t possible, WHICH WAS TOTALLY FINE! But instead of just giving us a refund, she uttered, “Sir, nangalahati na po yung meat before nyo binalik.” I was like, in my head, “pwede mo naman i-refund, diba? Bakit kailangan pang may side comment?” So unprofessional. I hope management reads this and addresses this opportunity. Again, I still love my Mendokoro ramen.

Food ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Service ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐On our second visit, we tried their Seafood Ramen and I can't remember the spicy ramen recommended by their staff (3rd pic) both from their secret menu and of course Gyoza. Definitely worth the wait!👌🏻For me, Mendokoro Ramenba still is the best ramen place in the metro
