Thanks to Deal Grocer, we were able to purchase this 5-course meal for only P900. This was a very good deal indeed as the prices of the dishes here are expensive. So, what did we have for dinner? Serving No. 1This served as our official starter. We had three samples that had a good balance of cheese, meat, and vegetables.Carpaccio Di Manzo Sedano E Grana: Beef Carpaccio marinated with lemon and olive oil and fresh parmesan This thinly sliced beef just melts in your mouth! The taste was very fresh which is probably brought about by the lettuce. The sauce ignites its flavor but it’s SO GOOD on its own. My friend, who is a fan of meat, was in total awe while eating this. I was too. Parmigiana Di Melanzane: Roasted eggplant with mozarella cheese I don’t eat eggplants a lot but you can hardly taste the eggplant in this. And I mean that in a very good way. Once you bite into this, the flavor of the eggplant and mozarella cheese just play well in your mouth. Add the basil in and just WOW. It takes this dish to another level. Napoletana: Pizza with tomato sauce, mozarella and fresh basilThis was just okay. Sorry Chef Davide but I’ve tasted better pizzas out there. I do like the fact that it’s very cute in terms of size. In terms of flavor, it really was just okay.Serving No. 2Ah! PASTA! Give me pasta any day, and I’ll eat it. My friend asked how we should eat this, and we were advised to start with the carbonara going up. Good thing she asked ‘coz if it was just me, I’ll start by eating bits of everything. Taglietelle Alla Carbonara: Homemade fresh taglietelle with egg and pancetta Not a fan of carbonara but I am a fan of this. The cream was very light that you can feel the smokinesss of the thinly sliced bacon. I actually wanted more of this, and had eat it very slowly. It was that good.Lasagne Della Casa Con Crema Di Porcini: Homemade fresh lasagna with bolognese ragu and porcini sauce THIS WAS GOOD. REALLY GOOD. Molto molto delizioso! My friend was ahead of me in eating this, and I wondered why she stopped for awhile. When it was my turn, I almost cried. I did. I stopped because it was that good. I didn’t think it was possible to almost cry for a dish but apparently, it’s possible. I’m not exagerrating. I wanted every bite of this to last in my mouth for as long as it could. It is lasagna at its very core but there’s something about this that makes it so delicious. The taste is indescribably wonderful that one must dine here, and experience the magic that it does to one’s tastebuds. Taglierini Tartufati: Homemade fresh taglierini with mushroom and black truffles It was a good thing that this was the last of the pasta series. They didn’t scrimp on the truffle on this one. The taste was quite strong in its unassuming presentation. Serving No. 3: Orata All’ Ortolana: Roasted white fish served with pesto cream sauce I like the pesto cream sauce in this. It paired well with the fish and the veggies. It was light which was good being that the earlier serving was a bit heavy. Serving No. 4: Coscie Di Pollo Tartufate in Salsa Rosa: Boneless chicken thigh stuffed with mushrooms with pomodoro dolce Out of all the servings, I would put this down at the bottom. The whole taste just doesn’t sit well with me. The chicken was very tender though. Serving No. 5: Pannacotta Del Piemonte and Tiramisu As advised by the server, we started off with the panna cotta then followed by the tiramisu. And yeah, I have to highlight each being that I have a sweet tooth. Their version of panna cotta was sweet, light, and very yummy. You could really taste the vanilla on this one, and sense that the sweetness was being drawn from that. It almost had this creamlike texture which differs from the gelatin-like panna cottas I’ve had in the past. I added some chocolate syrup on this but I prefer to have it solo. Their tiramisu was light, not that sweet and yes, very yummy. Though their panna cotta stood out, I would still prefer this just because it wasn’t that sweet. It was quite creamy, and had a good balance in terms of taste. Drinks weren’t included in the whole set so we both tried their Limonata. I’m sometimes wary of ordering lemonade just because it might be too zesty. But since this had cucumbers in, the mix of both fruits make for one very refreshing drink. It was a good palate cleanser for all the dishes we had for that night.I had to pair coffee with my dessert. It’s a must. And good thing I did. Their café latte had good combination of espresso and milk. And not bad latte art on this one!

Lucia Ristorante is another restaurant owned by Italian Chef Lombardi. This place specialized in Italian cuisine. It's located on the ground floor level of the boutique hotel, Hotel Celeste, which is located along Arnaiz near Greenbelt. I discovered this restaurant when I bought its 5-course meal for 2 voucher at Deal Grocer. It was only last night when I finally got to use the said voucher. The interior place was nice and cozy. Service was commendable. The 5-course meal for 2 was very worth it for its price of 895 net. The first course consists of beef carpaccio, roasted eggplant topped with mozzarella and pizza. The roasted eggplant was good. Then for our second course, we were served three kinds of pasta: carbonara, pasta with truffle and mushroom and lasagna. The lasagna was the best among the 3. The truffle pasta would have been better if they added more salt to it. The third course was roasted tilapia with creamy pesto on top and this dish was really good. Next one was the chicken thigh stuffed with mushroom and pomodoro sauce. This was also good though the fish was better. Then the fifth course were the two kinds of desserts: tiramisu and pannacotta. The tiramisu was great. Overall, we were satisfied with both the food and service. We were so full after dinner and we felt that the voucher was so 'sulit." Thus, I highly recommend this place.

Lucia Ristorante is one of the authentic Italian restaurants in Makati. I've heard about this place from my wife. She bought a deal from an online voucher site. Thus, we decided to use it last Thursday despite the major traffic. We had a 5-course meal. For startes we had beef carpaccio, eggplant with mozzarella on top and pizza. Then we were served 3 kinds of pasta: carbonara, lasagna, and truffle pasta. For the main courses we had tilapia with pesto cream and chicken. For the final course, we were served 2 types of desserts: tiramisu and pannacotta. Everything was good. Both the food and service were great.
