Logged in to website for the first time to give a feedback about this restaurant. Unfortunately, me and my friend decided to have dinner there couple of hours before. It was the horrible food experience I ever had in my life. We ordered chappathi and Chicken madrasi. The chappathi was sour and giving altogether a different taste. We complained and they agreed to change telling it must be a problem with Atta. We ordered rice. When started having that, the so called chicken madrasi was bitter in taste. We called the waiter again and asked them to taste. Here comes the horrible customer service experience I had in my life. He offered me 10% discount for the food instead of understanding the issue with their chicken curry. I tried reaching manager or owner but no one was available. Met the chef, he was looking so nervous and I'm sure that he is not a cook by his profession. Finally paid the huge bill for the food which we never had and came out with full of frustration. Never ever, ever ever ever, ever again! Don't consider this restaurant as an option, even if you are starving to death.

As the son of the owner of Indian eateries Delhi Darbar and Shiv Sagar back in the day, the restaurant scene was not a new concept for Legend of India General Manager Rakesh Alwani. This time, he made sure he put his own touch to the place. For him, a place that is more upscale and where people come for the food is the way to go. Two years into the business, Legend of India has already gained popularity within the Indian community because of its wide array of mithais (Indian sweets) that are not readily available in other restaurants. Foreigners and Filipinos alike also come for the lunch buffets and curry nights, which include an assortment of Indian delicacies from naans to curries and jalebis (deep-fried sugary dessert). Legend of India will always have a soft spot in my gastronomic life, as it is the only place where I got to rekindle my love for Sev Puri. One bite from a whole plate transported me to the streets of Mumbai where they serve these little crispy puffed bread stuffed with mashed potatoes, tamarind, chopped onions, basil and sev. I swear by all 3 million Indian gods of my ancestors, this snack is simply divine. On desserts, their version of kulfi is reminiscent of the taste of most milky mithais. It melts in your mouth without the chunky texture as served in other restaurants. Legend of India started with a bang and is continuously proving with its dedication to good, authentic Indian food that this small, cozy place is worth a visit. This is undoubtedly the most promising new Indian restaurant in town. Average price per dish: P300Contact: (632) 836-4232Location: 114-B Jupiter Street, Makati City

I ate here because of the recommendation of my good friend/cousin Sid. He said it's the most authentic Indian restaurant he's tried here in Manila. BTW you should know that he's actually from India so if he says it's authentic then it must be. I am not from there so I couldn't say the same, but what I could say is that the food was great.I was going there with a vegetarian friend so I had to ask cuz what dishes I should order and here's the menu:1.) Paneer Butter Masala - Paneer Cheese cooked in buttery red curry. The cheese helps balance out the spice.2.)Dal Makhni - Black lentils which was also quite creamy and the mildest out of all the dishes we tried. It's also nice and sweet in a caramelized onion kind of way. My favorite3.) Vegetable Jalfrezi - Vegetable curry. In spite of the fact that it's all vegetable the flavours were full. To me it was the most relatable Filipino food wise.4.) Tandoori Roti for our bread and Steamed Basmati Rice.5.) Kulfi - Indian Ice cream with pistachios. I think there was cardamom on it too which in my opinion is one of the most underutilized ingredients desserts wise. Will definitely go back to try the non-vegetarian selection.

A place where India is alive. What can I say? Aside from the fact that it's near my place, this Indian restaurant is my favorite not only for the samosas, pani puri, mutton curry, palak paneer, naan, and other mouth watering dishes that bursts with flavor, this place is my go to place for Indian desserts. Have you ever tasted Carabao Milk cooked with some pistachios and sugar? Sinful right? But, it's oh soooo delish! They also have golbi jamun (I dunno really if I spelled it correctly but I don't care...) it's just wonderful! Have you ever heard of jelabi? (Don't know also if I spelled it well) but that's uber sweet and crunchy also!Argh! Talking about these makes my mouth water! Don't think about the calories here because these babies are really packed with high sugary calories wrapped in goodness! But, since I'm talking about wonderfully sinful sweets, I advise for you to just enjoy and savor the wonderful textures and tastes. Accompanying the desserts (which I order all at the same time since they offer servings of 100g each item or less), is their masala tea. I recommend you to have it without sugar since the desserts are already loaded with sugar. And I swear, it completes the taste. This place is wonderful! A bit pricier than New Bombay (another Indian place where the food is oh soo good) but they have in their menu some things that the other one doesn't have and vise versa.Enjoy!

Nice eating place. Not crowded, simple food menu , drinks available. Pani puri was not good otherwise veg kabab, pakode and veg biryani was good. Unlike queens Taj Mahal, wifi worked here. The kalakand was great and a must try item here. Prices reasonably. Enjoy.
