Came on a weekday afternoon to an empty place. Staff were lackluster and looked like they didnt feel like working. Our food was too spicy for my companion and as a spice lover myself, I felt it overpowered what was already a bland tasting item. Never going back.

The gringa tacos are very good specially the lengua which is a especiale that day. The carne asada is also very good tasting and the beef is very tender. The surtido which is (stomach, tripe, skin) is good taste like bbq. The buritto is fine just like a normal tasting burrito, nothing fancy. The place is also great very cozy ambience. One thing i remember and suggest to include the 12‰ vat on the menu prices. It makes the prices go up on the total bill.

    # of times visited: Too many to count 😉What to try: Gringa with Buche feeling and HorchataFavorite place for soft Tacos. I always get the Gringa with Buche (pork stomach) - just the right amount of flavor and texture. If you want a milder flavor profile, you can get the Pollo Asado (chicken). Their horchata is my favorite! I've tried a few places that serves horchata and I imagine this is the type of horchata they serve in Spain. It is milky (but not overly milky as if you are just drinking milk), nutty and refreshing. The staff is also very awesome. 👌 All the people I introduced to the place liked it.

I’ve been on a taco craving high, and Lagrima seems to be popping out everytime I search for the best taco in Manila. I wanted to know what the hype was and here are my two cents.Portion size was small, not for my liking, but for the price. I couldn’t believe it’s at least ₱110 for a taco as small as the size of my palm. But maybe, I thought, the ingredients are of high quality... hmmm out of 6 different tacos I’ve tried, I only liked 2 of them and that’s stretching it. For Chorizo, Pollo Asado & Al Pastor, the meat had no distinct taste. It was really bland, the only thing that brought it to life was the toppings of pickled carrots, pickled raddish and onions. The pollo asado had a char grilled taste to it, but that’s it. Carne Asada was even more expensive, at ₱150 a pop. I have no idea what grade of wagyu they used but it tasted like ordinary beef. Again nothing special. For their off the menu especiales we ordered the Chicharon. At ₱150 again I was expecting more bite to it, but all I got was saggy skin, I just liked the crunchy chicharon drizzled on top of the taco... maybe I could’ve gotten my money’s worth by just buying a bag of chicharon? :(The best taco, by default, is the Carnitas. It had a juicy bite & flavorful meat (finally!) Another thing to note is that our server for the night didn’t know how to recommend a dish for us, all he kept saying was that everything was good (I really dislike it when they do that)... but the time he did ask us to order more, he suggested their “best seller” Mushroom Quesadilla. Yikes... another overpriced oily number! It’s ₱400 for 4 pieces, hats off to them for their tortilla wrap but I’m not willing to pay that much for a good wrap. The whole dish was blah... I felt it had only one note and didn’t satiate my palate at all. I wasn’t excited to get seconds. The best thing, and maybe even my favorite is their Horchata! Ok. This one is good. It wasn’t too milky and had the right touch of cinnamon. Basically, their condiments were the overall winner. It gave every dish a kick of spicy/citrusy flavor. But it’s sad to taste the same thing over and over especially for such a high price point. Our total bill for the night was a little over ₱1,400 for 2 people :( don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t mind paying that much if the food was at least of equal value. Well I guess the good thing here is I get to try more taco joints for my unsatisfied cravings.

Dishes:1. Gringa 3pc chicharon, carne asada, & pollo asado: 4/52. 3pc soft tacos. Kimchi carne, al pastor, & chorizo: 4/53. Chips and dip :3/5Drinks:4. Horchata: 3/51. Enjoyed that all three gringas had a distinct flavor that I could distinguish from each other. Chicharon was ok, thought it would be home made. The asada was pretty good tender. Pollo asado was well seasoned.2. My gf had the soft tacos. She enjoyed their distinctive flavors. Her favorite was the classic al pastor.3. Chips and dip were ok the Beene were a bit bland but the salsa dip was bomb. 4. Horchata for me should have remained simple. Had chocolate notes to it that I liked, but wished it was just a good old fashioned horchata.

One of the better places to get yourMexican fix! A lot better than some mexican places that filipinize the menu. Im not saying thats bad, but sometimes you just really want the authentic kind of tacos and nachos and lagrima can serve you just that! The prices arent so bad either. Just be ready to smell like a taco once you get out because ventilation isnt that great.

Been craving fro tacos lately and remembered how much I’ve heard about this restaurant so I finally gave it a try. Food is super tasty. I also found it to be more meaty compared to other restaurants serving this same. Will definitely be back for this😋

Probably the best carne asada taco I’ve tried. Table top sauces were really good too!
