I am not really expecting much here, which was okay co sidering the price. What I really like was the Halo Halo. If you are in a budget this is a decent place to be. Service was okay, they informed us that food will be serve in 10-20 mins.

We were a family, party of 5 who are trying Kuya J's for the first time. We tried to order a seat meal, Salu salo 2 to be exact, only to be told that it wasn't available because of a main course. I asked if it was possible to change for something else, but she said no. The waitress was also insisting that we order the Salu salo 1 instead but we didn't want to because of one main course we didn't want. So we ended up ordering ala carte. A few things we wanted was 'not available' again. For short, we got a regular crispy pata (family size not available *again*), rice, chopsuey, pancit canton, pitcher of iced tea. A bit dismayed as most of the things we wanted to order WERE NOT AVAILABLE! Unbelievable! However, they have redeemed themselves as everything we ordered were savory and delicious!!! At least the food was good. For dessert, we ordered 2 Ube halu halo which was shared by 4 adults. Good portion for a good price. I think that was the winner of the night! My dad even said that its probably the best halu halo he's had in his entire life. I think if all the items from the menu were available in the 1st place, I could have given this a 5 star.

Celebrated Father’s Day at Magallanes and decided to eat at Kuya J. We tried it before at different branch and was really pleased when we did, that’s why we decided to try it again at a different branch. I was really excited because I SUPER love their scallops. This is whag we ordered Kuya J Grilled Scallops: We tried this before and instantly became my favorite! But it tasted way different here. It did not taste as good as I hoped because it was already cold when it came to our table.Pinakbet: Vegetables were too undercooked in my opinion. Sizzling Sisig w/ Egg: Meat was really nice! It was shredded plus not very fatty. Kuya J Crispy Pata: The best thing from what we ordered. Pancit Canton: Very familiar to the Filipino tongue
