Never judge a restaurant/eatery by its exterior. This may look like one of those ordinary pares places, but their food is actually very good. I was delightfully surprised by their Sizzling Bulalo. Very big portion of meat (with the bone marrow of course) with rice and corn. To those people who are complaining that there's not enough bone marrow in their Bulalo or Sizzling Bulalo, piss off. Set your expectations straight. You're not in Batangas or Tagaytay. Anyway... The significant other ordered T-bone which is equally good. The real star for me however, was their Tokwa't Baboy. The pork and tokwa were crunchy, and the sauce tangy. It also had a lot of sili and onion which I love. And damn it, it's only Php 40. I chuckled inwardly when they served their iced tea and iced coffee in mason jars. Hipster much? Haha. Will definitely dine here again. :)

Beef Pares is a favorite when on a tight budget. Their version is sweet with a generous serving and free soup. Do I get value for the 70 pesos I pay? Well, I wish it would be slightly lowered to around 60, but that's just wishful thinking, right?I enjoy sitting on the stools outside but those coming by the packs can take the couches inside. The food joint is open-air so expect some heat and a small amount of exposure to pollution because it's at an intersection. But who cares about the pollution when you're hungry, right? If you take public transportation regularly, you should be immune to this by now.
