The melon pan is delicious, similar taste as in Japan. It has a crisp outer layer which gives way to a soft center. The quality of their cheesecake is consistent with their other branches. It has a thin sponge cake layer in between creamy cheese fillings.

We Always get cheese tarts and melon pan here. Not the best cheese tarts but good enough for the price. The melon pan is a favorite. Crusty on the outside, soft bread inside.

This Japanese franchise continues its expansion here in Manila. Currently, they have more than 10 locations, strategically located around the city. The market for bread is huge, as it is Filipinos’ second go-to source for carbohydrates. It is also viable because the cost to make is low and can easily be consumed by individuals on the go. Lastly, it is one of the perennial choices when it comes to pasalubong. On this trip, I got their soft Choco Bun for a quick merienda. The filling of dark chocolate was good, it’s just wasn’t as smooth and soft enough. Kumori also serves savory items like sandwiches. In particular, they have the newly released Sukiyaki for just Php 80.

This Kumori cheese tart is simply love... There are not too other many things to say about it. It is prived at 60php per piece which is lowest than the competition. And tastewise it is perfect.

Kumori, cloud in Japanese, describes the fluffiness of their bread. It is a Japanese bakery which had a stall in SM Makati. We had a few of their items for lunch. Yes, dessert first before main dish. You can never go wrong with bread and pastries. Matcha Bun (Php 50). In terms of taste, this is my favorite among the three. Slightly bitter matcha filling, cream filling, and soft bun balance each other to form a semi-sweet snack. I would go back to get more of these. Green Apple Bun (Php 45)

I don’t have anything to compare it to but I like the Kumori Cheesetarts. I think this is cheaper than the other brands of Cheese Tarts. I always have this when I go to SM Makati. A great pasalubong to my family❤️

So with the advent of BAKE which to date has 2  branches that I know, the competition for the best bake tart in the metro has intensified somewhat.Kumori though remains our plan B when its "hora de peligro".  Its P60 tag is kinder on the pocket  during those days  when P95 seems a hefty price to pay for a  small cheese tart Plus this Nagoya based bakery is also from the Land of the Rising Sun.So win-win for us consumers. Yay!

To satisfy my cheese craving, we bought a box of original hanjuko cheese original. Each bite is soft and mellow. Sweet and light, it melts in your mouth. One piece is simply not enough.

was surprisedto see they lowered their prices (am i right?). bought coffee bun & custard butter bun. custard butter bun is the best, not lacking in cream inside.. so so delicious. regrets we only bought a piece. regrets we didn't take a pic of our order. sorry about that!
