After visiting a food expo, me and my family craved for some Korean food. So, we went to Makati to dine at Korea Garden in Jupiter St. This resto has been there for awhile already and this is not our first time to dine there. So, I have decided to give my thoughts regarding the food that they are serving. We ordered quite a number of food because we are hungry. Ok! Lets start with the side dishes. They gave us 6 types of side dishes and I personally like the Kimchi (fermented veggies) and Dilis (small fish). Thus, we requested for a refill several times. Yes! You can ask for a refill like in other Korean resto. As for the main course, we got Pajon (spring onion cake), Kalbi Chim (beef rib stew), Shrimp Tempura, Tak Bulgogi (Chicken Barbecue) & Chap Chae.Let start with Pajon - it was like the other pajon that I've tasted but what I like is that, it gave me the option to add shrimp instead of the regular veggie cake. Nevertheless, I enjoyed this dish.As for Kalbi Chim, I was not expecting that I would love this dish. I am not a fan of beef but this one was superb. The texture of the meat was soft and it tastes well. I had 2 cups of rice because of this dish. I would certainly recommend this to everyone.Their Shimp Tempura was like the regular tempura. There's nothing special to it. I'm sure tempura lovers wouldn't appreciate this because the shrimp was so small for a tempura (and price!). The crust was a little gooey instead of crispy. But, the tempura was ok. Though, its not something that I would order again when I dine there.Tak Bulgogi was amazing. I didn't expect that I would enjoy a bbq flavored chicken to be the meat for the Samgyeopsal (meat wrapped with lettuce). Because whenever I eat this dish, I often have grilled pork on it. It was my first time to have a bbq flavored chicken for samgyeopsal.Lastly, the Chap Chae has a regular taste. Though, I liked it better because its not too sweet like the other Chap Chae that I've tried. But, its not something that I would crave. All in all, the food was prepared well. The ambience was good and the servers were attentive. Although, its a little pricey compared to other Korean resto that I know. Nevertheless, this place is good for private dinners or meetings.

Comfort food. It’s been years since my last time and the beef stew and baby octopus are exactly how I remember them. When I crave Korean, this is my go-to place.

my manager's mum manages the place (confusing?!) and they told me that they offer great tasting authentic korean dishes, they did not lie. the side dishes sparkled and when it came down to their specialties, they were even more wonderful. the spicy beef rib stew was the highlight (i saw the glimmer in their eyes when they consumed every mouthful). since meat was out of the question for me, i chowed down the shrimp tempura and spicy squid along w/ the chap chae (wherein i carefully separated the visible pork off my plate) and of course, we ended the gastronomical dinner with MELONA, haha. this dessert is and will always be a staple when our manager gives us a cold sweet treat! the ground floor is more for an intimate dinner but the 2nd floor can accommodate a function (or 2).

My favorite Korean restaurant. They serve the best beef stew... far different from other korean restaurants. They offer tasty barbecues and also try their octopus - yummy!!!I've been eating here since they were on Burgos St. (2nd location) So weve been loyal customers because they serve good food and service is impeccable. They only have 1 branch and the trip is worth it.

My favorite Korean restaurant in the country! Yes, you can't grill your own food (but they do have samgyeopsal if you're really into that). You start with six plates of complimentary appetizers (mostly veggies- so yay for your body!)I highly recommend the spicy octopus, beef stew, dumplings (either steamed or fried), pork bulgogi, bibimbap, chicken taqui (spelling?), Korean-style tuna sashimi, chapchae. Place is very homey, and it's not the best choice for an intimate date - since big families usually frequent the restaurant. Haha. Super good here promise!!! I'm getting hungry just writing this review.

Great Korean bbq place on Jupiter. The meat is not grilled on the table but arrive perfectly and freshly grilled at your table. Top marks to beef stew and spicy octopus. Beef bulgogi and dak Bulgogi were pretty good too.The banchan is not as plentiful as in other Korean establishments, but are tasty and replenished on demand.

Number of times visited: more than 2x Parking: Several spaces are available in front of the store. However, since this is near the Makati business district, parking can be all filled up most especially during peak dining hours.Food: This restaurant started my love for Korean food. So far, every dish I tasted from their menu is really good. However, if I have to select a favorite – it has to be the beef ribs stew (kalbi chim). Rich broth/saucy, fall off the bone, beefy goodness. This and just a bowl of hot rice –you’re all good! They also have Korean BBQ but it is served cooked already, so if you’re the type who doesn’t enjoy cooking – you may like this. They serve banchan and it’s refillable. For dessert, they serve fruits (we had pineapple before) or you may choose to order those Korean grocery ice cream which has become popular through the years. Price: Can be quite expensive. Most of the dishes were priced Php 300 and above. Mind you, a single order can only serve 2 persons on the average or 3 persons who don’t have big appetites. However, I don’t mind paying a little bit more for great tasting food. Service: So far, we haven’t encountered any bad service from them. Attentive during order taking and it’s easy to catch their attention. Place: Not too fancy décor but at least it’s air-conditioned, clean, and spacious. Big groups can be accommodated.Repeat: Yes! The Korean beef stew is really something!

The place looks old, but classy. I think that their prices are a bit steep, considering the serving size. All staff are polite and really approachable.
