Dined here a couple of times already and have ordered the same thing, beef sukiyaki steak upgraded to fried rice. Already a set meal with soup, salad, pickles, and dessert, it's definitely priced on the high side but is really a value for money. Steak ordered was done to medium rare and is really tender and flavorful. Also tried the ebi tempura and rib eye steak. Both awesome but pricey. Make sure to seat at the teppanyaki grill for the whole show. Servers are also attentive and chefs are friendly. Will definitely go back.

If it is Teppanyaki,Kimpura will always be first in mind.I grew up eating in this restaurant.I used to frequent the greenhills branch since it was so near our house.Of course, best to start and whet the appetite with a few sushi rolls and sashimi.I almost always have the Ribeye and prawn combination or the tenderloin with scallops combination

Food was great but the service is not at par. Reception was not that welcoming. It was hard to call on someone for service. Rice was served earlier than the main dish.

My family has been Kimpura clients since their beginnings in the 70's. (I recall they divided their first restaurant into a tepanyaki side for food cooked on their large flat grills, and another side for food cooked at your table for nabemono or pot meals.) Unless we are out of the country I don't think there has been a run of 8 weeks that we wouldn't eat here! While they have just about everything Japanese cuisine can offer, I can vouch for their kakiage (deep fried vegetable fritters) and sukiyaki (beef and vegetable pot dish), which are the best anywhere! Also great options are their yakitori (barbecued chicken thigh fillets) and mixed fried rice! Try any of these and you'll be Kimpura fans, too!

Like any other Japanese restaurants who values their food as an art, the proper preparation was mastered for years and to deliver satisfying food. Here’s what we ordered:Set of Sushi – Fresh and delicious, although I haven’t tried all of them as I’m afraid I will taste the fishy part and totally avoid sushi for the rest of my life, since this is my third time eating sushi, I didn’t love the first one, but I did enjoy the second one and third time.TEMPURA WITH VEGGIES – This one is crunchy and delicious, they veggies will help you remove the satiate you have. best partnered with the Sushi it will neutralize the taste.Overall experience: This restaurant has truly kept the fire burning as I’ve heard that they are the very first restaurants who survived up to this day–it cannot be questioned because they are truly masters the art of preparing Japanese cuisine, food are very fresh and delicious, staffs are easy to approach, the place is very clean and tidy.

I haven't been to this branch before as I always go to the one in greenhills, which I heard was closing or might have already closed. For some reason, I like the food in GH better. The only thing better here might be the sukiyaki which had more meat although less soup. The chicken teriyaki was too small, only few pieces. The tempura was fine. Everything else including service was just as expected.

I thought our last minute plan for Christmas Eve dinner will fail through, because most of the restaurants around are “fully booked”. So, after countless of searching and calling, we finally found this restaurant that made our Christmas Eve last minute plan went very well.Kimpura speaks of exquisite dining experience. From its intricately designed entrance to its lavishly styled interiors. Left side from the entrance, you will see the sushi counter who is freshly prepared by the chef! Yummy..We had..Yaki Gyoza @Php150 Steamed dumplings of cabbage and pork with flavoured sauce. Unagi Teishoku @Php775Rib eye Steak and Prawns @Php 1,500- U.S. Black Angus rib eye steak and sea fresh-shelled prawns. We supposed to order Tempura because we've seen that most of the customers ordered for it, but we are too full..

Ordered a gyudon. It was alright. I wish there were more toppings in general, but tastewise its decent. My friend ordered the salmon skin roll and said it was his favorite thing on the menu. He then ordered 2 more for take out - so that might be worth a try.

My Chinese friend declined our invite to join us for dinner here. She said the food wasn't that good.ButWe came here for the teppanyaki and boy it was soooo good! I understand that there were hit and missed on our add-on ala carte orders but our teppan main was really scrumptious that it didn't put a damper to the unified consensus that it was worth reserving an exclusive room with a teppanyaki table. And it was a bonus that Chef Jess was nice and indulgent in preparing properly our food.Despite being cocooned in a room, the staff were not remised in attending to what we needed since either they kept checking on us or you just buzz the button to get their attention. To customers who may have been avid diners of the defunct misono of Saisaki along EDSA, this is the next best thing :) I know, I know, it's not eat-all-can but it still worth spending your money on 😋😋😋My two friends are broaching the subject of a repeat 😝😝😝.

Just ate here this weekend.  Brought back memories as my family used go often to the original in GH.  So sad that's gone now but at least this branch is around.  The experience was very good.  Food was great.  Good to see some of the staff in GH made their way to this branch.
