Went here due to a nearby convention I attended. Ordered DIY Takoyaki and Salmondon.DIY Takoyaki was good. The crew was helpful in the process. It was fun making your own takoyaki. The salmondon was something I definitely want to try again. I called it deconstructed sushi because the rice is the same with the sushi rice and it is topped with slices of salmon.

We were craving some ramen so we thought of dropping by Kenshin Japanese Izakaya restaurant in Linear as it was the closest to our workplace going home. Parking wasn't a problem as we went at midnight but we can imagine the traffic during rush hour so plan accordingly. The restaurant had great decor and it really made you feel you were transported in a authentic Japanese bar.We quickly looked at the menu and decided to order their ramen combo (We got the Shoyu+Karaage and Miso+Maki sets). Serving time was quick and we hurriedly began eating our meal. The three piece Karaage was good and the Jap-mayo-sesame sauce enhanced the flavor. The California Maki sushi was alright but the rice wasn't sticky/moist unlike found in most Japanese restaurants so it left a dissapointing taste. But what we really came here for was their ramen and we both tried the shoyu and miso ramen and if you like your ramen with a lighter taste, go for the shoyu and if your more adventurous and like your ramen with a beans-taste flavor, try the miso. Both broth tasted good but it also felt watery and diluted instead of being thick. The noodles were a bit bland and didn't have that texture you normally find in good dining noodles. It was just thick and chewy.Overall, the service was prompt, the interior was clean and the ambiance really let diners have that Japanese dining experience however when we were about to leave, someone played rave music in the speakers and one of the waitress and chef can be seen jiving to the beat. Yes, it's good to have fun but not at the expense of your customer's dining experience IOHO. If we could do it all over again, we'd definitely try out the Katsudon, gyoza, etc as we think there fried dishes are popular and maybe better than their ramen or sushi.

Been here just tonight..Did the DIY takoyaki..🤣 So much fun making your own takoyaki even though #struggle.is.real!😂Tried their Tonkatsu Ramen and Kenshin Miso Ramen. It was superb!👍 Servings are bigger than what I expected.Staffs? Not quite okay.. They don't even bother to assist/orient first timer doing the DIY takoyaki. I think the staffs should atleast learn how to smile and to ask and say "excuse me" when taking something on each customer's table. Just a little respect!😉

The place is a little bit small and compact but the quality of food and service is very good. The servers are friendly! Love their California maki, matcha and vanilla ice cream!

Went here past midnight and its a full house. Diners come and go.Affordable price with enough portioning. Serving is for one person which will surely make you full. Their food is comparable to other japanese establishments, yet with a lower price.Just the down side, only one server serving the entire area and plates are oily when we went here.

Hi we visited your place and we experienced something unacceptable.First, there's hair in my beef curry. then we we're not served water immediately.Tantan men too spicy and noodles looks like a spaghetti noodles.Curry doesn't taste like one as it's water like consistency.Katsu curry rice toppings not same as what's on the menu.what was served looked like a shredded breading. The waitress who replenished our glass of water hold the glass on its mouth. so wrong tsk tsk.so unhygienic.

They say food tastes better if you make it yourself.A recommendation taken to heart by Kenshin as they offer make-your-own takoyaki to their guests. If you're not comfortable with your takoyaki making skills, the friendly staff are more than happy to assist.

The restaurant can seat around 40-50 guests and is usually full house. They offer this make-your-own Takoyaki- staff will assist you on how to do it. I didn't enjoy much of the taste of the Takoyaki, but the Sushi rolls & Tantan Ramen both passed for me. Will try their sashimi and sake next time! 😄

Kenshin We were looking for a place to eat near the hotel that we were staying. We were both craving for Japanese food but it's already 11 pm and most of the restaurants were already closed. Luckily, I was able to locate this hidden gem. Place- The place was spacious and well lit, it could fit more than 30 pax based on my estimate. Food- The food was great! I really liked their gyoza. One order of ramen can be shared ny 2 people. Their prices are relatively cheaper than other japanese restaurant. They could improve the maki that comes with the ramen, the rice is a bit dry. The ramen ia comparable with the known Japaneses restaurants yet priced reasonable. The tempura is of the right size and the batter or coating isn't thick and not greasy which I really liked. Servinf time We waited for around 10 to 15 minutes for the food to be served. The crews were attentive to our needs.
