    I've been going to Rockwell since I was a kid but it was only recently that we ate in Kaya - I have website to thank for that haha (browsed through their menu via website and found that I actually want to try their food!). I love their noodles and kimchi rice, they were very flavorful. Didn't really like the beef dish we ordered, and some pieces of the samgyeopsal had small bones in it too. Service was fast and the servers were very nice. Ambiance was alright.

    Polite staff. Food was okay, they serve the food, no chance for you to cook it like in other Korean Resto. They serve rice with the main dishes and side dishes.

    The newly renovated Kaya in Power Plant now has tables with built-in grills for Korean Barbecue.We love eating here prior to the renovation and we’d order goon mandoo (fried dumplings), kalbi jim (beef stew), kimchi chigae (spicy soup), and diff kinds of bulgogi. All delicious.This time we also tried grilling and got thin slices of beef belly and ox tongue, both good as well especially when paired with their yummy (yes yummy because I like the way they cook it) plain rice, sesame oil dipping sauce and sides such as kimchi, togue, nuts etc.

    Kaya Korean Restaurant has a wide menu to choose from, which can be daunting; they're basically a korean restaurant attempting to serve "a taste of Korea". They feature samgyeopsal, bulgogi, and other typical korean favorites. The servings are huge and reasonably priced. Pro Tip: If you're ordering the mackerel (btw, a bit on the oily side), they can serve it in half since it's quite big. The half portion is good for two hungry customers already. Try asking the servers if you can get other meals in halves.

    I am a Korean Cuisine neophyte.   My knowledge begins and end with kimchi.  I've been meaning to dine at a Korean joint for quite sometime.  Kaya is a stone throw's away from where i am standing.  While i was munching on my dulce de leche xuxos,  i walked a couple of steps and voila!  Bibimbap sounds familiar.  A lil history lesson is in order. Bibimbap is a signature Korean dish. The word literally means "mixed rice". Bibimbap is served as a bowl of warm white rice topped with namul (sautéed and seasoned vegetables) and gochujang (chili pepper paste), soy sauce, or doenjang, a fermented soybean paste. A raw or fried egg and sliced meat (usually beef) are common additions. The hot dish is stirred together thoroughly just before eating.Source: Wikipedia First,  the dish looks healthy,  we have go,  grow and glow foods - meat,  veggies and carbs.  Kaya's version is served on a iron bowl thingy (long lost cousin of a hot plate).  I added spoonfuls of soy sauce and chili paste,  mixed them all together.  Had to wait for a couple of minutes for it to cool down.  The veggies are fresh and crispy,  the beef is flavourful and tender.  The egg adds a creamy element to the dish.  Chili paste - where have you been all my life?  This is the catalyst of the dish.  Biased opinion,  i like anything associated with chili.  Overall,  i enjoyed my first bowl of bibimbap.  No one can resist a healthy bowl of savoury Korean goodness.
