Looking for different Japanese pancake varieties!?! You have to try this place! Once you get inside their cute restaurant, you already smell the okonomiyaki floating. Tried one and I can't finish it on my own. Hehe.. I liked their yakisoba also.😊 If you are a baseball fan, you might appreciate the owners' love for the Tigers.😁

Everything on it Okonomiyaki. Nice crispy exterior and moist inside. Actually tastes like a takoyaki pizza in case you haven’t tried this. They take reservations so better call in advance or suffer the wait.

Kagura has been on my to-go list for the longest time because of their okonomiyaki. After visiting them today, I could say that my expectations about this popular Japanese comfort food were more than met. I and my boyfriend dined here on a Sunday night at 6 PM, and we were the first customers. There were lots of Japanese expats there too, which we took as a very good sign over the quality and authenticity of the food.FOOD: ★★★★★ (5.0)We ordered the Okonomi-special (Php 440) because of the ingredients that went into it. Cooked and served in 15-20 minutes, this famous savory pancake was served still smoking hot (which was a good thing), and hit all the right spots. Everything was cooked just right, and the taste was just...wow. My partner went so far as to remark that theirs was way better than Dohtonbori's okonomiyaki when it comes to taste and satisfaction. If you're wondering how big it was, imagine a giant takoyaki flattened to more than 1/2 inch thick, to a size that's slightly larger (if not the same) as Pizza Hut's personal pan pizzas. So yeah, if you have a small appetite, better bring someone with you as their okonomiyaki's good for two. For drinks, we ordered Coke (Php 60) and a glass of umeshu (Japanese plum wine - Php 180). The latter tasted similar to white wine and served with ice, which I liked. The 12.5% alcoholic content may not be good for those with low tolerance though, so be warned. One glass was enough for me to feel that buzz. Good thing my partner was there to look after me. Ahaha. PLACE: ★★★✩✩ (3.5)Cozy but small, with Hanshin Tigers paraphernalia decorating the interiors. There's a counter with 10 seats where you can watch the chefs cook your order. There are three tables where you can sit on floor pillows, which can accomodate approx. 4 people each. They get filled up quickly though; I highly recommend coming here early with your group if you want to sit there. Otherwise, you can also dine outside al fresco.SERVICE: ★★★✩✩ (3.5)Staff were attentive and quick, although not very cheerful. They also chose where you get to sit, so if you're dining alone (or as a couple, like we did), you'll sit by the counter. We witnessed this also when a Chinese/Korean couple came in and requested to sit by the tatami tables; the staff told them they couldn't and redirected them to the counter. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience. Aside from the 12% VAT they don't have service charge, so try giving them tips if you're satisfied with their service. We sure were. :)We'll definitely come back here again to try the modern-yaki...this time as a group. 😋What I liked:● The okonomiyaki● The price - reasonable enough. No service charge, too 😀What I didn't like:● The fact you couldn't sit at the tatami tables unless you're with a big group.● The slightly less cheerful service.

Their okonomiyaki never disappoints. I always have it everytime I go here. Also tried:* hanshin ika-yaki - flat batter fried with squid - lighter version of okonomiyaki for me* saute chicken wings - surprisingly good and cheap but "nakakabitin"* ebi tempura - not so satisfied with this. I've had better.Recommendation: Okonomiyaki must be tried with Hana's takoyaki!

My reviews are based on my own experiences therefore; they are factsThis review is supposedly a continued story from Izakaya but unsuccessful.Anyway, so we were very full from Izakaya and we still wanted to try Kagura and Hana.We sat here and ordered ice cream. No! of course Okonomiyaki. Its an outside seating underneath umbrellas, nice vibe. Different people are here to have drinks and meals.A nice place to hang out with your peers. You may be intimidated finding your way because it is located on a back alley.  But don't you worry, it is safe.Service - did not like it. They showed favoritism I guess. We arrived first and then a teenage couple sat down and they were given papers. Not us. I know its just a paper, but that shows that they are prepared to serve you.Food - since I was very full, I did not enjoy it while being there. but, in a weird way, I enjoyed it cold from the fridge the next day. Am sure if I go back with an empty stomach, I will appreciate it better. The servings is big. If this is your first meal, then you can share it between 2 or 3 people as an appetizer.Price - I cannot remember how much but I think its okay. Check out my review for Hana. We ordered something else while seating at Kagura's. #fattyproblems

Okonomiyaki can serve 1-2 people. It isn't common to have this dish with noodles inside so you might want to give it a shot. It's big, delicious, and the sauce is sweet. Enhance the flavor with good toppings like Dried Bonito Shavings.Try a glass of Japanese Plum Wine! You can watch Japanese television on the left or right side of the bar.Interior is small.

Food -🌟🌟🌟Tako-Tama is full of flavor, kinda salty and the serving is good for 2.Hanshin Ikiyaki tastes like tako-tama 😂😂You can see on the spot cooking of your order.Overall judgement not satisfying to eat eventhough the taste is good. I'm craving for something else after eating.Ambiance - 🌟🌟🌟small not so neat but OK.Service -🌟🌟🌟staffs are not friendly; they also decide where you seat.

First tip when eating at Japanese restaurant's, only eat what the place is known for. So with this, Okonomiyaki only. It was delicious, one serving is good for almost 3-4 people. A single pan is heavy enough for all.

VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!Me and my partner have just happen walk in to Little Tokyo and decided to go for this resturant since the design if the place and of course the okonomiyaki they offer happen to remind me of home. (I am from Hiroshima)We stepped in at around 21:45 and got KICKED OUT by 22:30!! We were sitting inside and basically at 22:15 the staff started folding and clearing things, staff throwing garbage right in front of us while we are eating, sweeping the floor.. all of eat happens while we are eating!Another reason the service was disappointing since the waitress wasnt really welcoming. At all.First, to be fair, the waitress could let us know they are about to close and let us know we have limited time. So then we have the option to choose if to dine there or not.Secondly, if you decided to "welcome" us, then be fair enough and polite enough not to clean and sweep the floor while we are still eating! Throwing garbage, turning off some of the lights and so on and so on.. Oh, and the food quality? Was disapp@ointing. I am not sure if its because the end of the day or they have other reasons..
