Read about this resto at website, brought my hubby & daughter for dinner a few nights ago. Their fried & fresh spring rolls & peanut sauce were soo good, & so with the cold calamansi juice & corn milk. Some grains of the vietnamese fried rice were uncooked, while the Hu Tieu was the biggest disappointment - no sprout & coriander, & I wasn't informed about it at the time I placed our order. Will definitely come back though for their fresh spring rolls & peanut sauce.

Tried this last night during my bike night ride. The store was nice and quaint and picturesque. I bought the regular chicken sandwich (P98) and it was large enough for a bike break meal. The bread was better than Bon Banh Mi also in Makati but they could have been more generous with the filling.

I equally adore Vietnamese food & hole in the walls, so Jam & Viet Sandwich House was a wonderful find! I've been here twice in a span of a month with my boyfriend and friends. The following were our orders:* PLAIN BAGUETTEEach piece was incredibly cheap and really good with the outside super crunchy, and inside soft & packed. I recommend having this as dine in and/or for take out for those sudden cravings at home!* ICED COFFEEThis is legit Vietnamese coffee that's strong & mixed with condensed milk just the way it should be. * FRESH SPRING ROLLOnly for P25 per piece, this was yummy & the resto was generous with the thick slices of shrimp, lettuce, cucumber, basil & rice noodles. The peanut sauce definitely tasted homemade, and had a thick & smooth consistency that wasn't too sweet or overpowered with coconut milk (unlike ready-to-make packs available at groceries).* CHICKEN BANH MIThis is so filling, and I get this every time I visit! And apparently, I still can't get over how this jewel is priced at P98 (regular size).* FRIED EGG & PATE BANH MIAs with the spring roll, Jam & Viet didn't skimp on the ingredients of this sandwich! It had lettuce, scrambled egg, cucumber, liver pate, a bit of pork floss, carrot & bean sprouts. The Sriracha sauce (available in squeeze bottles on each table) perfectly complimented each bite of this famous Vietnamese delicacy.* HU TIEU (Vietnamese Rice Noodle Soup)The bowl where this was served is about as big as Pho Hoa's medium-sized pho. However at Jam & Viet, you'll get this treat for only P148!!! 😛 The part that I liked best with this dish is that the soup isn't salty (unlike Pho Hoa's version wherein the broth gets really salty after it gets cold). By the way, hu tieu is NOT like pho for it's made up of pork bone broth & has no fish sauce. And because my boyfriend and I stayed long (and ordered a lot LOL) during our first visit, we got to talk to the owners before they closed for the night. They gave us some Vietnamese candy, too! Small restaurants with hands-on owners are my favorites. 😁P.S. At my second visit, I got another freebie: a cup of peanut sauce which I used for the Vermicelli Salad I made at home!

I read about this joint in a food blog featuring "a must try" around San Antonio Makati. Place is small but food is great and budget friendly. They served authentic Vietnamese food. I like their fresh spring rolls and their pho. This reminds me of our experience of Ho Chi Minh City side street eats. - Elaine Taningco

Fresh Spring Roll is nice. The bread is good too, but the taste of ingredients inside the sandwich are NOT tasting at all. Noodle also sweet, but sweet of sugar. Need to improve a lot more
