I could hear my mother telling me off in my head after gobbling off  not just three dishes for a snack. Partnered with five different cocktail drinks from the bar, together with my husband, we were treated with Hooch's best-sellers and mainstays and went burping our way out of the restaurant.  . You see, my mom who lives in Milan with my dad have been so conscious of their health and have adapted the simple meals of the Italians and it is against their dining etiquette to burp when one is full from eating too much.

Hooch. The restaurant is helmed by Chef Tom Hines, a Briton who has been in the Philippines for 5 years already and is quite acclimated as he even knows a number of Filipino phrases. All i can say is good food good alcohol = package!

Rating is for their cocktails only since we did not eat anything there.Another tick mark in my bookmarked restos to visit! Been meaning to go to Hooch for a couple of months now; finally got the chance to go there Sunday evening.Very chic bar perfect for hanging out with friends. The cocktail menu is a piece of art. Full descriptions of the cocktails listing all the ingredients. Loved the touch of adding the origin of their signature cocktails (like circa 1806 Kentucky for Ye Old-fashioned).We tried the bourbon based Ye Old-fashioned, the Bulliet Bourbon based Bullet Train, and the vodka based Salcedo Ave and Frog Prince. Loved them all! Perfectly made with delightful touches like the spherical ice cube. Need to go back to try the Sours and all the other cocktails.In my book, Hooch equals Finders Keepers as the best cocktail place in the Metro.

Finally, i've been always wanting to go here. I heard their cocktails were good.We've been here on a friday night, 3 gentlemen, drinking some booze. Place kinda seems ok if you like the feel of an american bar. For me its ok. Next is their commendable bartenders, yea, service was great. y'know, even though the place is small, you'll enjoy it, better visit it on a friday night. its a different experience..O yeah

Even though a great new bar opens every week in this city, Hooch in my opinion, is still the best all-around cocktail bar in Makati. Bartenders have come and gone, and the staff has turned over several times in the last year. It doesn't matter.Thorough, varied, brilliant, flawless execution, fantastic ambience, and a great food menu as well. There will always be something for everyone. This kind of consistency shows incredible leadership and good management from the top down, and is a good model for how you take a good bar and turn it into a Makati institution.Let's hope Hooch stays that way.MUST GET: Hooch Sours, Tennessee Wobbler, Downtown Funk, and Half-dead.

Hooch is Lulu's Bar that's open til the last man stands. Drinks are a bit pricy but very good. They have a good selection of classic cocktails and their own concoctions. Service is great too. And the ambience is very relaxed. Must-try signature libations are the Candy Man and Angels & Demons.

The atmosphere is pretty chic and intimate, good for a semi-quiet night out with friends. They have a wide array of drinks to choose from, some of the cocktails are pretty unique. The drinks are kinda pricey but you can taste where your money is going after just a sip.
