Love handle bar! It's a great local pub that has awesome staff, the footy, cricket, UFC and the boxing always on. Plus they have the best friggin chicken tikka wrap on offer. Nice and spicy perfect tucker for a belly full of beer! As rough as handle bar may seem at first glance it certainly isn't. The vibe is great, everyone knows each other. If not at the start of the night certainly at the end of the night. Great atmosphere where everyone goes to hangout for a great time. There's also a number of great bands that play here from time to time. Oh and I forgot to mention they do a pretty mean porterhouse with all you can eat salad bar. Check it out you'll love it

Looks rough, dark on the inside that you can barely see what you are eating. It has Metal/hard rock music that will burst your eardrums! Rugby is a big thing here, you can see hardcore fans coming and staying till the wee hours just to watch in those big screens their country's teams. Most expats hang out here to do business over a pint of ale, no, not the businessmen type who are in coats and ties, but the ones who are in the mining industries or Resorts shareholders . The ones who do not care about keeping up appearances ;) The locals do not understand why the expats converge here despite its seedy look, but it's an expats place of their own, so they tend to relax more, besides, all expats know this place. It's very unpretentious, it's the MAD DOGS bikers place!Did I mention that they serve mean steaks! It's not the dainty-female-on-a-diet serving but its for appreciative carnivore customers 😋

-- http://shellyviajera.blogspot.com --It's swarmed by expats and I guess every expat who has been in town for a while knows this chill place. Funny that we were trying to find this bar and my friend just thought of following where do all expats were heading at and poof, we ended up at Handle Bar!It plays good live music but not all throughout the night. The crowd is very much alive. This is my kind of bar.Tequila shots were okay.

CHILL PLACE. Come on Wed and Fri for good music from their regular band. Place is packed with expats. They have billiards table. Booze and Wine are reasonably priced. Place is lively but still can have good conversation. Upscale bar in Makati Ave that a bit on the modest side.

The last time i visited a bar was ages ago.... think Mesozoic Era. This was when Pinoy Alternative is at its peak. I stopped visiting bars due to a sudden lifestyle change - when i quit smoking and stopped binge drinking. Why am i saying? Well, Handle Bar happened. This is the last stop of our Sriracha Food Crawl. Well, i ain't gonna sugarcoat it....the place is really really noisy. The guy headbanging on the stage us to blame. He was letting out a guttural sound that is known to men as singing. Don't get me wrong, i like Rock but this ain't it. I guess, my standards are high after listening to a boatload of Hendrix and Beatles when i was a kid. Let's talk food.Sriracha Chicken Tenders. I have eaten heaps sriracha-infused fowl tonight and my brain is having a hard time identifying the differences. This was okay, not spicy enough for my Dragon Lady Standards. A lil one dimensional as it tastes ordinary. Peace Out!Reich
