Authentic Chinese cuisine. Love the ambiance. My favorite was the platter with asado, jellyfish and Hainanese chicken. Some foods were a bit bland for my taste, but I think it's better rather than salty or filled with the usual MSG. We all enjoyed the mango sago for dessert. My friend has allergy for crabs, so it's quite refreshing that they've got corn and fish soup instead.

Excellent chinese banquet food and this judgement comes after eating chinese banquet food only 15hours prior (previous night). Hai shin lou has a taste that differentiates from other chinese lauriat restaurants in the market. Place is clean and nicely decorated. More on my blog entry soon.

fried in ginger and onion. We decided to forego the 2nd way (Duck Bone with Ginger & Onion) and just brought home the duck bone as takeout. . Duck Skin wrapped with Hoisin Sauce. Stir Fried Shrimps & Cuttlefish with French Beans -a. good dish and the cuttlefish meat is not rubbery (not overcooked).

We go here with friends for our peking duck fix. We always get the 3 kinds of combination peking duck. Today we also got fried rice, suckling pig, hot prawn salad, chicken, seafood fried rice and mango sago. Their free fried wanton appetizer and house tea are also good.Booking is recommended as the place gets busy. They have limited parking and have valet.

Tonight we ordered Peking duck one way, hot and sour soup, and kailan with garlic sauce As always, it was good. Only problem was one member of our party couldn't find any parking outside so he couldn't enter to join us.

I’m ate there for celebrate my friend’s birthday. So we ate in the private room, it’s fit for 20 person (2 round tables). The food is really good taste, especially for the beancurd with vegetables & bird nest. The service also excellent!

Reservation is most advisable especially if you’re not dining alone. My 3 friends and I were pleased that we had my celebration here because the staff were lovely and the service was prompt. Every dish we ordered was delightful, mostly recommended by our enthusiastic server, Jake:* Spicy Spareribs * Assorted Fresh Mushrooms* Peppercorn Spareribs * Hot Prawn Salad * Spareribs in BBQ Sauce* Dimsums* US Roast Duck* 3 Kinds of Roasted Chicken Platter* Suckling Pig * Dry Fried Hofan The only exception that was a let down was the Peking Duck (nothing beats Peking garden yet with this dish). Plus the fact that they charged for the xo sauce that my Chinese friend kept on ordering, Imagine my surprise when I was checking the bill when I was about to bin it, that for that sauce alone it could have bought us another dish. the serving was not even that much, about a teaspoon, so I thought it was part of their condiment.

Hai Shin Lou is the place to go for authentic Hong Kong style Chinese cuisine. The assorted cold cuts consisting of jellyfish, pork asado and Hainanese chicken tasted superb! The seafood-based dishes were equally delectable. My craving for some beef in oyster sauce and mushrooms was satisfied! The dishes were all excelent as if Hai Shin Lou could do no wrong. I will surely go back for more.
