This place is HOMOPHOBIC. They told people to leave because “bawal ang BAKLA”. Don’t patronize this place. It’s 2018 and homophobia is unacceptable.

Not Recommended for Locals.We were excited to go there since it was "Ladies Night" and we couldn't wait to experience the "free unlimited tequila" for ladies and to play billiards. But the zest we felt turned to frustration and disappointment with how we were treated by the servers in the bar. Here are my reviews: 1. On service- When we were done with the first set of 3 tequila shots (for my 2 girlfriends and myself), I asked for another set while we waited for our food to be served. We transferred already to smoking area outside, my beer and the food were already served (after almost 40mins), and the second set of tequila shots was still not served. (After several follow throughs with the waitresses.) Finally, a waitress told me that we could no longer order for unlimited tequilas and she could not explain why. When she got back from her "head waitress", she said that we had to order at least a bucket of beer to enable the unlimited tequilas. So I ordered a bucket of Pale Pilsen beer and a Heineken. I jokingly told the waitress that I could then order the Second set of tequila shots since I ordered a bucket of beer, Chicken Tikka and Cheese Focaccia. But then again, she just blankly stared at me and left to ask her head waitress. When she got back, she told me and my friends that we had to wait for a certain time to order these free tequila shots. I felt like I was ditched by these stupid servers and so I looked for their manager. It looked like I was begging for something that I was supposed to get. Lo and behold, after getting drunk, our second set of tequila shots was served. 2. On location- In all fairness to the management, the bar itself was really enticing to those who follow teams and love sports. 3. On food- wait time took forever (with no updates from the servers). The chicken tikka tasted good but the cheese focaccia was too dry. Over-all, I regretted that we went there since the waitresses were not accommodating and lacked knowledge of the food/policy/quality service their business runs. I don't recommend this place to locals who seek good customer experience. Might as well buy yourself a beer from Aling Nena's Sari Sari Store and enjoy it with your barkadas.

A ambient place with good crowd and billiard board and with lots of setup sport broadcast will certainly boost your mood . Food is a additional cheer up with lots of indian variant and other continental options . There is a scope of improvement in taste with proper way making those authentic food. Quantity wise the food is very less . I would recommend if you want have couple of drink with with moderate food you can certainly choose this place . Pocket pinch in-between moderate to high as per the quantity. Waitress are friendly and prompt.

chicken marsala and beef caldereta. h&j has always been there while people were flocking to el chupacabra. ive only tried here after a heavy drink and boy was i surprised! their chicken marsala and beef caldereta!!! they were soooooooo gooooood! how can a filipino dish and an indian foood excel in one restaurant?? i must eat here more often!

Love their food but the service isn't great .. waitress gossiping around when I ask to order my drinks . And I tried to complain to the bouncer .the bouncer replied asking me what kind of service do i want and pointing fingers to my sister ..never recommend this for local they just care bout foreigners .Never AGain.....

My friend and I met here since El Chupacabra (right in front) was crowded. It was alright since he also wanted to watch a football game. They have a separate smoking area which has a ventilation which is absolutely important and something that some bars often forget. They have an extensive menu varying from western to Indian cuisine with lots of booze choices as well. We had a few beers and ordered lasagna each. The lasagna wasn't bad but it's very odd in texture. It's yummy, don't get me wrong but it has big ass pieces of meat which is just absolutely odd. It's an okay dish but wouldn't order it again since it doesn't really hit the spot and quite pricey. Of course this place is pricey since it's in Makati and a haven for expats. Be wary of random girls approaching you for a "chat" that'll lead to a massage that you'll have to pay.UPDATE: Went on another trip here and the bouncer made me leave my paper bag that contains a vape juice and ube for my friend, which is understandable, but once it was returned to us the vape juice is not in the bag. The bouncer took it for sure.

Ithought twice before deciding on whether to review this bar (more like thought 5x!). I didn't eat anything, I didn't drink any thing. Well, I tried to.We went straight to the pool area since its the spot where smoking is NOT allowed (weird, right? Its in the middle of the whole place). It took me 5 seconds to blurt how bad the smell was! It smelled horrible.So We went to a corner spot. It didn't help that it rained, the place felt damp, I hardly wanted to touch the couch. Then one would realize how dated the place is. Sawali in the city, nice!There's a group of he & she staff bundled right in front of the mini bar, EATING PANSIT! It is surprising someone was there waiting to take our orders.First the waitress had to ask the bartender what a deep blue job is. Who can blame her for not knowing, they must have a hundred types of cocktails on their bar list! They were so many I almost asked for a magnifying glass because the fonts were like, size 10! When the waitress came back, I said ok, "i'll have that, but wait, thats a long drink right?" And I checked again to be sure, yes, it was under cocktails. Then she came back and said it's unavailable (what bar does not have Kahlua and Bailey's?). I decided to just go to the bar right across since I felt really queasy. Someone else came in to bring a generic bottle of water my friend ordered. I asked if we can cancel but the wait outright said "no, coz it's already here!"We just paid and left. We didn't even think of opening that shady bottle of water.

The plan really was to have some chill night in El Chupacabra but when we were already there we've decided to went inside H&J instead because there were a lot of people and seems like the environment is better. We sat on a bar top since we were only two. The foods we've ordered are good but we didn't liked their service. And promised not to come back nor recommend this to a friend. :( Wished we still stick on our first plan.
