Haw suggested, “Maybe we should simply stop analyzing the situation so much and go find some New Cheese?” – “Who Moved My Cheese” by Dr. Spencer Johnson. Or maybe, Hem and Haw should head over at Hole in the Wall, and check out this stall that offers the happiest cheesecake in the world!😀

I have just arrived from Japan two months ago where I went on a matcha adventure, and I have been craving for matcha ever since! Since I have tasted authentic matcha in Japan, it's really hard for me not to judge the matcha goodies I taste here in the Philippines. You know as Katy Perry says, "Comparison is easily done once you've had a taste of perfection." (LOL) My friends and I saw this place on Facebook, thus, we planned to visit one Saturday afternoon. We actually checked out Scout's Honor which was also in Hole in the Wall, but Green Cheese's menu was more promising. We ordered different dishes so we can try each other's food. The verdict:Frozen Matcha Ice was something I looked forward too. It tasted of authentic green tea and it went so well with the hot milk. If you need some comfort, it's definitely a must try. Taste: 9/10 Price: 10/10Rocky Matcha A la Mode is definitely a must try! It has smores on top and of course green tea ice cream. Even the brownie underneath was green tea. It's a bit nutty for me though which I didn't like that much because I'm not a fan of nuts. Nonetheless, it's to die for! It's a bit pricey for Php 310 though.Taste: 8.5/10Price: 7/10The matcha cheesecake (Japanese cheesecake) the one similar to Uncle Tetsu's was a bit meh for me. Good thing it only costed me Php 60. It is good but it definitely has room for improvements. It melts on your mouth but the ends are bit chewy so it won't melt. Taste: 8/10Price: 10/10The matcha mousse however changed the game! It was so delicate and deserves to be indulged at every bite. The mousse was a bit sweet which was contrasted by the matcha cheesecake underneath. It was the perfect balance. Too bad we didn't try the Frozen Matcha Cheesecake! I bet it'll be yummier.Taste: 9.5/10Price: 8/10

[Disclaimer: Late post.]While waiting for my meal, I looked around to check the other concessionaires and see if I could try more dishes that night. However, the place was really packed so I was forced to buy from stores with shorter lines (as we were also rushing to visit a coffee shop after...

Green cheeseThe cakes were quite small but wrapped nicely and tasted well. We also tried a matcha drink which was the general flavor of the menu.

Known to be a lot less sweet, Japanese cheesecakes and desserts are gaining popularity in the Philippines. Green Cheese has been one of the first to ride on that trend. The regular cheesecake was quite good and is just sublime when paired with a cup of hot matcha (even though I still prefer CBTL matcha). It's not as heavenly as the ones Kumori offers, but is a pleasant, not-too-sweet dessert to end a Hole in the Wall food crawl. Their Japanese Cheesecakes are heavenly and are one of the best in the Metro! They're light and fluffy, soft and not too sweet. They had the right creaminess and that melt-in-your-mouth quality. The Matcha flavored Japanese Cheesecake was addicting! It had the right Matcha flavor in it - strong but made subtle by the cream cheese but still managed to have that grassy bitter taste. Oh I love Matcha! Then I also tried their Matcha Pudding. I know, Matcha, yet again! I liked the consistency of this - soft and smooth and creamy. Plus point since it wasn't too sweet. The richness of the milk balanced the rather strong nature of Matcha but then again I wanted some more of the Matcha flavor. I haven't been to Green Cheese in a while so when I had the chance and saw that they offer Taro Japanese Cheesecake, I got it without thinking twice because I LOVE ANYTHING TARO!!!! I got a slice and checked out their beverage options. The staff voluntarily offered their combos and so I got slice and a cup of Iced Green Tea Latte to go with my cheesecake. The Japanese Cheesecake had a lovely purple hue with some creamy and light filling in the middle. The cheesecake itself was as usual great – so soft, light and fluffy! It had just the right consistency and sweetness. The filling made it all better. Each bite was a delight – almost melt in your mouth! Then the Iced Green Tea Latte – in my opinion, this could use some more Matcha powder. But then that’s just me because I love a strong kick of Matcha. My hubby, who’s not a big fan of Matcha said that it was good with the right balance of milk and Matcha. The Original Japanese Cheesecake was a slice of heaven! It was light and soft and fluffy! Melt in your mouth goodness! It wasn't too sweet and I love the moist center. One slice is never enough!

Green Cheese is the premier Japanese cheesecake shop that first opened at Hole in the Wall. I remembered both my friends in our barkada gave us Green Cheese that time and was able to take home 2 whole cheesecake. It was my first time to have a Japanese cheesecake. All I can say is that it feels like eating 'clouds'. Light, fluffy, eggy, cheesy, soft, etc. Its like a lighter mamon than cheesecake. Melts in your mouth goodness.Green Cheese is just a perfect take home item from Hole In the Wall. A great gift for any occasion.#TheFoodCrawlers #OngsFoodprints

My shortest review:I ordered a slice of their matcha cheesecake. Boring. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good. In my opinion, the cake was dry. Rather than cheesecake, it tasted like sponge cake.

Everything was too cute. Like you wouldn't want to eat it. And also cos a bit pricey. But the choco pudding was nice. Cheesecake was meh. Tasted a little like Red ribbon's butter mamon.
