The first time I had a custaroons was 2 years ago, someone gave it to us as a gift for Christmas and it tasted like heaven. Before it was only available in Eastwood and Sta Mesa. Luckily now they expanded and selling on the top malls in the metro. There are two sizes of Custaroons, I would always prefer the mini size since the regular one is quite heavy. A good pasalubong food to take home for the family.

I. Love. Custaroons. Seriously, they're so good that I even thank the heavens for bringing somebody into this earth to create them. I'm a loyal costumer to The Custaroonery, buying their custaroons multiple times a month! Lately, I've been buying more. It's really hard to resist, especially now that they have incorporated cheese in their flavors. I usually buy the assorted ones for a great mix of sweet & salty at the same time. This is probably the #1 on my favorite desserts list as of now!

Custaroon, as the name implies, is a hybrid of macaroon and custard (leche flan). The merging of two of my favorite desserts... you can just imagine how good this tastes. Moist, sweet, creamy; indeed, it's "uniquely delicious, deliciously unique".

When it comes to coconut, I’ve discovered that you either love it or hate it — there’s just no middle ground. And I'm on the other side of the fence here not until I've tasted Gigi Gaerlan's Custaroons! This is what happens when custard meets coconut.Essentially, it is custard cake with macaroons on top but I would describe it as a dense leche flan with roasted chewy coconut on top. Just imagine eating a concentrated sweet piece of butter, cream and cheese.Just writing about it now made me finish a whole box in one sitting! Yummy!
