I've been really looking forward to pistachio gelato so I got excited when I learned it was available. Felt a little sad because it didn't taste quite as I'd expected. :( Good thing the bf finished it for me. He said it was okay.

Passed by this small Gelato place and I saw pasta on their menu. It looks like a legit Italian place, so I order pasta amatriciana for take. Basic ingredients:penne pasta sautéed in tomatoes, porchetta with a hint of white wine in pomodoro sauce topped with parmesa cheese. Simple, basic and fresh ingredients will bring delight in each bite. Definitely worth the try.

I will forever associate this place with my friend who once burned what little money he had for gelato. How much was it? Well, it's a hundred pesos for a scoop! The place in question? It's called Gelatone.You can choose to hang out inside the store or just buy gelato-on-the-go from the salesperson who mans the stall outside. Since I was supposed to meet a friend, I chose the latter. The glass shelf was a sight to behold. Really, what's up with the gelatos? Why do they look so lovely that one look is enough to have you drooling? My friend ordered, Pistachio. I didn't get to taste it but according to him it was really good. Considering he is a picky eater, I'm taking his word for it.I, on the other hand, went for the Coffee flavor. If there is one thing I am sure of about gelatos is that they taste way better than regular ice cream; this one wasn't an exception. It is oh so creamy and the coffee taste though present, was not overwhelming. It was just a scoop, but it was sure a big one. Surprisingly, it didn't melt fast so it was a joy to eat.Yes, we picked common (boring) flavors but give us a break. It was our first time buying from Gelatone and it was PHP100 a scoop so we weren't feeling adventurous. There is a 10-peso discount by the way if you're buying two scoops so that's PHP90. And you can have it by a kilo, that's PHP990, for half a kilo that's PHP550. If you choose to dine in you have to deal with the additional charge for their service.One hundred per scoop is still a tad too much for me but at least I get to try it. Let's just say that it's one of those things that I'd do when I have extra moolah.

I love their gelatos. There's no much varieties in their flavors but that's okay, I like simple menus. It makes me choose faster and easier. Whenever I go here they always have different flavors to choose from( They change their menus every now and then). Their gelatos aren't that sweet and they're not melted when served, unlike other gelato shops. I always drop by here for dessert.

Another favorite gelato place of mine. Try their best sellers..it's a must! The pistachio flavour is my current favorite. It's not too sweet and creamy too. Two thumbs up!

Another gelato run while trying to cope with the intense heat and sticky feeling that summer brings. Hubby went with the Whisky which wasn't overpowering. There was just a slight alcohol taste. He liked my Caffe better. I always go for a coffee or mocha flavored ice cream/gelato. This one was pretty good too. Hassle lang there was one really bitter coffee bean that was mixed in. their gelato is creamy and the cone was crunchy.Gelatone has been in the exact same spot ever since but I never knew there was a dining area. The server asked if we were dining in but we decided to roam around the mall already. Maybe next time 😄

Food: (3.5) I tried their Pistachio and Mango Flavors and it's really good. Since the weather outside was too hot, the gelato are melting very quick. Service: (2.5) I was not a let to check out some of their best sellers since the staff was too uncomfortable to do so.Place: (3.0) We just check out their kiosk outside of the restaurant since we just wanted to get some gelato.

Gelatone is not as big as other known Italian restaurants such as Itallianni's, but the quality of the food is just as similar. With reasonable prices, welcoming staff, and fast service, I highly recommend this restaurant one to check out.My personal favorites include their Aglio Olio and their Puttanesca and from their gelato (which is located outside of the sitting area), I recommend you try their Nocciola (hazelnut) flavored gelato! Definitely going back here whenever I'm in dire need of a treat for myself.
