4.0 = Food4.5 = Service3.5 = Ambience3.0 = Price -outlets, wifi, outdoor seatsIf you're the type who spends hours in cafes like I do, you would love this hidden gem located at Park Terraces. In contrast to its International competitor, Coffee Bean, which is right across Palm Drive, it sets itself apart with the quiet and calm vibe. Great interiors and yes, even their playlist was pretty neat. The waiters are very helpful and are keen to make sure you have everything you need for a comfy stay. I was studying for boards when a better table free-ed up, then they offered to help me move all my stuff (not to mention, the constant water refills). When it comes to cafes like this what you're really paying for is the stay - in addition to the food and drink of course. Buying from a place like this will only feel expensive if you've had a short stay and you didn't plan on lunch. To be practical, their lunch options are expensive, but if you're planning to stay here for a while (when you've got 4 chapters to go) then you're okay. I found the food delicious, I ordered a chicken and cheese toast. You would think it's pretty simple but no, the grilled-char taste on the chicken, hot cheese over peppers and onions - it worked together. Best to eat hot with some iced tea. Their drinks are good too, I still have to go through more of them since I've been ordering iced chocolate every visit. Love it and definitely going back!

Food: quite pricey for the food I think you're paying for the ambiance. My boyfriend ordered carbonara with cold brew almond and I ordered salmon benedict with cold brew mocha. My boyfriend was disappointed & frustrated with both his orders, 2 adjectives for 2 orders. The carbonara lacked taste and was very dry, parmesan doesn't fix it & his coffee quite a no no for him 😹 As for me, I'm quite bias because it's salmon and salmon is my favorite but 325 pesos for just that, ummm but the brew was quite good. Overall, it's not a place I'd go back to after taking pictures for the gram 😹 Ambiance: Not denying it's IG worthy the food and place. The place was good, I loved the interiors. Service: well, I'm ought to pay for good service anyway. But they were kind and welcoming.

Staff could use a training in guest experience. Good news is the coffee is good. Ambience is nice. Dessert is so - so. I will not seek out this place.

Went here for coffee, and wasn't disappointed. Barista was fairly knowledgeable about the beans that they use. I ordered a cup of slow brew single origin coffee (beans came from Guatemala, green mango and muscovado sugar notes), which was done using an autodrip machine.Their Classic Pomodoro pasta was alright. I found the taste a bit lacking, but it wasn't a deal breaker.Recommended for coffee lovers who are looking for a third-wave coffee shop experience around Glorietta area. I believe this place is the brainchild of the same people behind Yardstick Coffee.

Spot this place after a full day out & we were in need of some caffeine and something to eat. But because it was about to turn 10, there kitchen was close & we did not get much of a choice..food wise. They told us that they could still do there pasta which was what we went for (something truffles), which I would not recommend trying. But I got to say, there drinks was another story all together .

Good morning! Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf ran out of breakfast sets as early 9AM. I had no choice but to try the new coffee joint across the street. Old fashioned cappuccino with butterscotch syrup was warm and slightly sweet but not enough to satisfy my strong coffee addiction. On the other hand, the prosciutto and asparagus sandwich was satisfying, enjoyed the flavor of salty cold cuts blending with the sweet caramelized onions. 😋Maybe I'll be back... Maybe... but this was enough to satisfy a hungry tummy and I'm ready for a long day ahead. #fundamentalcoffee #coffeeaddict #plainbrewedcoffeeisstillmyfavorite #earlymorningblues-repost from instagram post last December 6, 2016

Love the cold brew and fast brew coffee! The interiors of the place are nice and perfect for casual meetings and studying. Very clean. I'd go back again.

My first coffee crawl for 2017.It's remarkable that there are now more artisanal cafes in the South. Fundamental Coffee, one of the newest in Makati, is a small haven tucked within the Park Terraces garden. I have researched this place beforehand, and I was intrigued with the review from Pepper.ph, calling it "The Filipino answer to third wave coffee chains." Now I see why.For my first visit, I ordered the Old fashioned cappuccino. Their version is as creamy as it should be, with a full body and strong flavor. However, there's something different. They topped it off with a seemingly hardened butterscotch froth, giving the drink a delightful sweet finish. I accompanied my cappuccino with their chocolate chip cookie. What I love about coffee shops is their innovative takes on simple pastries. Here, the simple chocolate chip cookie has a larger size, filled with soft gooey chocolate bits for every sweet tooth. I really enjoyed every bite.Fundamental Coffee attests to the growing third wave cafes in the metro, but more approachable. I'd definitely go back here for their meals. ❤

Been wanting to visit Fundamental Coffee ever since they opened last year. Finally went here yesterday afternoon after coming from a Christening party. I had a Double Mocha and Chocolate Chip Cookie, Norman | The Travelling Tongue had a Matcha Latte and Edison had a Chai Tea Latte. All the drinks were awesone! Well, being the bias that I am, I liked my drink more. 😂 The Double Mocha was superb and it was IG worthy too!The place is spacious and well-lit. But we opted to seat outside. Sitting outside on a lazy Saturday afternoon is a good idea sipping your coffee and people watching. I'd definitely be back to try some of their food and more of their drinks. ❤

Great place for really good coffee.. Also, perfect for those who needs to study or do some work.. They have outlets available for charging your laptop or phones. I really like their slow brewed konga ethiopia coffee 😎☕
