Warning: This review reflects my utter disdain for a restaurant that lacks any management and marketing skill in handling customers even if they were non-paying but part of a food crawl.Felix might be fancy by its looks yet so lacking of proper etiquette when it comes to guests. How can one manage to review a dish when you were served with just a spoonful or teaspoonful of it.Yes, it had ambience.Yes, the waitstaff was professional when we ordered some extra dishes (on our tab).Yes, for most part the dishes were only ok due to our regrettable and wildly disappointing experience in Felix. No matter how good the food might be, it's the dining experience that counts.Worst website Meet-up ever. That's why they deserve the rating.

I really like the chill but classy look of this place. However, a lot of their staff had their own tables and they were asleep (inside and outside). I just think it totally kills the vibe of the place because that doesn't even happen even in a fast food setting (check the photo I uploaded). Anyways, I liked what I ordered. It was simple but good. It was the Halibut. My date ordered the award winning adobo and the only thing he told me was "That didn't taste like it was award wining". Overall, it’s just okay.

Ambience and interior design was nice, I went in on a weekday (lunch time), so there weren't many customers. I took a look at the menu and was really torn, everything looked good! I ended up ordering the Foie Gras Seabass combination. Taste was delicious, everything was seasoned well. Fish was tender and juicy on the inside, goes well with the tomato relish. Foie Gras was silky and fatty, with enough black pepper to give it a small kick. The vegetables underneath were perfect, I enjoyed the entire dish. Despite the mediocre average ratings, this dish made me want to return and try other items on the menu.

We decided to host dinner and meet my two best friends in Makati and we picked the restaurant of Chef Florabel named after his dad, Felix. The staff will welcome you with their smiling faces and they will automatically assist you on the vacant table after they enquired how many persons are with you.For Starters, we ordered the following:SAUTEED BABY SQUID WITH HOME MADE CHORIZZO – It’s definitely a Filipino food with a twist as they taste different, these baby squids are soft and easy to chew.BAKED PIZAOLA – Seafood lovers will love this one, as you can really taste the oyster, tomatoes and mozarella cheese.BARBECUED BABY BACK RIBS – Typical taste like the one we are cooking at home, I sate fast, although the side dish helped I love the smashed potato.PRAWNS XO (served with vegetable Barley Rice or Brown Rice) – These Prawns are also baked, they are delicious.CRISPY PORK BELLY (served with white rice, cut mangoes, cherry tomatoes, onions) – I don’t know that I will love the crispy pork belly even more with Laing as their side dish. It’s a perfect pair. We’ve got four different desserts:CREPE CAKE – Best Crepe Cake that I’ve ever tasted.TIRAMISU – Chef Florabel’s signature Mascarporne and Lady Finger dessert generously drenched in Espresso syrup.FROZEN BRAZO DE MERCEDEZ – Layers of Bruleed Meriunge, Montecado Ice cream, Housemade custard and Graham crust, served with Crushed Granola and and Caramel Syrup.STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM – The topping are chocolatey.Overall, I’m contented at their service, food quality and everything. The only flaw I found is when they have to dim the lights indoor, because it affects the quality of my pictures. lol

Chef Florabel’s mission is to make fine dining as non-intimidating and within the greater public’s reach. She’s known for her ingenuity and brilliant infusion of the best local produced and making something world class.  Felix is one of the 9 concept restaurants on Yatco’s roster and can probably be the best representation of her vision. The restaurant was named after Chef Florabel Co-Yatco’s dad, Felix. Opened last April 2008 serving Asian Continental food and is one of the pioneering restaurants in Greenbelt 5.

My dining experience with Felix is superb! I felt well taken care of the whole time. They have a lot of food choices and most that I tried are amazing. And yup, did I mention that they grow some of their herbs they use for food you can see it outside the restaurant.Check my uploaded photos for must try dishes! :)#FelixMNL#EarlybiiirdXFelix

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY FELIX! ;)Honestly, I fell in love with Felix the first time I ate here. Saying that it’s a great restaurant and that their food’s delicious would be an understatement.Everything’s great here. Located near the Greenbelt chapel. It has a very nice indoor dining area plus a cozy outdoor dining area too. It’s perfect for a date with your loved one, a gathering with friends, or a dine-out with family.Every dish I’ve tasted does not only taste great but also looks great. They have a wide selection of dishes that’s healthy and delicious at the same time like their Burrata on Lemon Vinaigrette and especially their Quorn Salpicao which uses Quorn as a meat substitute. But my top picks here are their Japanese-inspired Spicy Tuna on a Garden Salad (I can’t say any adjective that would define what I felt on my first bite), Roasted Seabass with Barley Rice (which is definitely great! Especially the barley rice), and the Frozen Brazo de Mercedes (the best among the cakes). If you’re looking for wonderfully delicious culinary creations, it’s here at Felix!

Convincing Rina to leave the house without Baby Rain is next to impossible. But I can't blame her either. Rain is still just one month and five days old, and we're both first time parents, so even a trip to the bathroom that takes longer than it should can induce the feeling of panic. But even when Rain was still a little speck in her mommy's tummy, Rina was already making plans on who would take care of our daughter on the weekend of November 20.

Opened April 2017, Florabel was one of the first restaurants in Greenbelt 5. Named after Felix, dad of Chef Floral Co-Yatco, it is one of 9 concept restaurants of Yatco serving affordable Asian Continental food through fine dining style. Felix is adapting to the "farm-to-fork" ideology mainly using herbs gathered from their own gardens.

Felix Location
