I managed to get a free take on this buffet, care of the nice people at SCPF.The feast begins with two kinds of pizza, some run of the mill viands, above average dimsum, roast beef, and finishes with Cebu lechon. The dessert place serves ice cream and a variety of cakes and creme brulee. The salad bar is not as complete as other buffets. But trust that whatever it does not provide in variety is made up for in terms of quality. And for that, I left the hotel with a full stomach and a happy heart!

First time to eat here and I dunno if this is just me but I was underwhelmed with Escolta. Either I  expected to much since this is The Peninsula or it was just OK. I'm also thinking because reading the previous reviews, everyone seemed to love Escolta.ProsDesserts are delicious, I have a sweet tooth so this is a treat for me. I like that the restaurant is very bright, you have windows hat look out to the garden as well as skylights so that you have natural light coming in.Staff is very nice and helpful.Ambience is luxe.ConsFor the price, the selections are limited. You only have a grilling station and that's it. Unlike other buffets where you can cook noodles, pasta, etc, this only has the grill for your seafood (unless I didn't see the others).Taste was just OK. I got some seafood sewers and I was like "huh?". The fish seemed like it wasn't fresh or just very dry (I dunno). Same with my friend, she didn't like the skewers too. The rest was OK.

I'm a Peninsula black card member, hence I've been coming to Escolta at least more than twice a year. Their buffet spread is really really good. Just enough to keep your taste buds wanting more! Quality-wise, their food is perfect!

Together with Mia and her family, we celebrated her birthday here. It was indeed a memorable night, thanks to Escolta's beyond the expected service and their line up of well-curated international buffet. I recently signed up for Manila Peninsula membership card and so we got 50% discount as well as a delectable and fudgy chocolate cake as a gift. Apparently, 4 other families had their birthday here too. I loved the spread of choices. It was like Spiral's version only smaller. They have all you need from cheeses, slices of bread, fresh seafood, meat carving, sashimi, dimsum, make your own salad, soups, pasta, pizza and a stretch of delicious desserts. They have American, Japanese, Chinese, Malaysian and local Filipino cuisines available for you. And I must say most of what I got were of quality. I liked most especially their Chicken Roulade, Spicy Beef Stew, Crab Cakes and Chocolate Orange Tart. The buffet is at Php 2600++ but worth it even without the discount. Have you tried Manila Pen's version?

I'm really happy with the food they serve and the service, the staff are kind, approachable, attentive, and they greet you. It may be nothing for you, but those kind of service are rare these days.

Last Saturday November 25, 2017 my wife and I decided to check in at Manila Pen for our 1st wedding anniversary. It was seafood night during the weekend which was perfect. Everything was good and met all my expectations. You can request for the cold seafood to be grilled, there is a gambas station now which was new to me. The only time I eat sushi and sashimi is in an expensive restaurant just to make sure I won’t have any health issues. Food was served hot which was very good. We ate at Escolta twice dinner and breakfast. I enjoyed breakfast compared to dinner because they serve different juices during breakfast. Cold milk, hot chocolate, cold chocolate, fresh buko juice, tea and coffee were served as well and I barely drink water. Lito was the best waiter they had, he asked me if I wanted anything from the buffet table, I said smoked salmon with dill sauce. He told me he is not sure if they were serving it at breakfast and he came back with a plate full of smoked salmon and dill sauce. I appreciate that kind of service and kudos to you Lito for doing a good job! Eating at Manila Pen has always brought joy to my heart. My next visit to Escolta would be on Dec 26 celebrating my mom’s birthday! =)

One of that best buffets in the Philippines. It's definitely smaller than others, which is good if you don't want to fight over the food with other guests. Every food option is artfully crafted and really well done.

💁‍♀️Who I go with: boyfriend⏱When I went there: 8:30 pm Friday night🚘How to go there: walk from home🎈Reasons to go: I have a voucher discount 50% from my boss💰How much total: P3400 (IPA beer + 2 pax buffet)The food section is not too large, but it is enough to cover all the "basic" dishes needed for a buffet: dim sum, soup, pasta, pizza, etc. I really like the seafood area, even though we came almost at 9pm, but there is still food coming out and all are very fresh. Shrimp and muscle is excellent (when I left at 10pm, the food is still full, wonder how they manage it later. But I like the buffet is always full, regardless of the time) Tea and coffee is complimentary drink. Unlimited draft beer (P600) for Hogarden and Stella.(+) Nice staffs, nice environment (+) Food is fresh and good presentation (+) Food always comes up new (-) Toilet is outside(-) Too expensive ✅Seafood, steak, ice cream❎Hot and Sour Soup

✨ Lunch Buffet ✨BEST BUFFET I EVER WENT TO (Seafood!!!).  Escolta pushed NIU off of the first place in my best buffets list. The place is so nice although the comfort room doesn't have a bidet and it's too far :( !! The buffet spread isn't that big so it's sort of easier to plan your buffet meal route. POWER POINTS:⚡️ SEAFOOD STATION. Fresh, juicy, plump shrimps, clams, mussels, meaty crabs (I recommend having it cooked with garlic butter with chili)⚡️ SUSHI BAR. Super milky, creamy, fresh, and full slices of sashimi. The slices are generous and each slice feels like heaven. ⚡️ GELATO !!!!!!!!WEAK POINTS:📌Limited buffet spread📌Not much Japanese food📌Pasta selection isn't very wide📌Comfort Room is outside + NO BIDET :(Plus, I think they have a separate seafood themed buffet.. I might try it some time. I was supposed to rate it 5, but they have no bidet :( HAHAHAHA
