I'm probably not being subjective here but the novelty of this place added to the taste of their food - classic chinese-filipino. Ordered the all time combo of lomi and cua pao and they tasted really nice.

So-so Chinese food to get by as there are no others around the MCS area. One thing though that I like at Emer's is their cuapao which cones in the usual pork variety and the vegetarian type. Reminda me a lot of my younger days eating the yummy cuapao of Chocful of Nuts ans Green Patio.

Too bad I only knew of emers since 4 years ago. Emers is an institution at makati cinema square , a tradition to the 50s above.it gets full every single day, lunch or dinner. Has a steady loyal following amidst tremendous competition. My staples: oyster misua, cuapao ( they are famous for this), steamed dumpling ( I love the sweet vinegar dip with this) and chopsuey rice. Very reasonable to the max! If your food is good , your quality is maintained, there's value for money, no reason for Emers not to survive comfortably and so long......

Their Pata Tim is to die for. The place is not too  much to look at, a typical Chinese restaurant with no frills but the food is superb. They don't accept credit card. Lomi and Cua Pao are the best too.

Emer's will survive no matter what. It is perhaps one of the best reasons why Makati Cinema Square still exists. This is the place for Chinese comfort food. The Hot Sour soup, Cua Pao, and Lomi are some of the items you must try. This place, however, is not for the young and pretentious. Don't bother with the ambience -- it's not on the menu. The food is so good that my appetite survived despite the smell of freshly sprayed insecticide. Hmmm. They're cool like that.

Emer's is right beside the iconic Aida's in Makati Cinema Square and it's a good spot for affordable Chinese cuisine. While the dishes were well-prepared, none of it leaves a lasting impression. Food 6/10Service 8/10Price 8/10Wait time: less than 15 minutesParking: inside mall

I might be a bit biased in this review; this restaurant is my dad's favorite restaurant since it opened a long time ago. They have no other branches and the regulars are in their 50s...The food is affordable but they also serve a little less than the regular 'sharing' of chinese restaurants. A restaurant strategy in which I believe is very smart.I recommend their cua pao, taste authentic.Their pata tim is very tender and a must order as well, a good match with their yang chow. The pansit canton is ok for me but I think it is not for everyone.

Emer's is one of the oldest restaurant in Makati Square, It's been there since I was a kid. It's a nice place to eat if you want an affordable old authentic Chinese cooking in Makati. They have the best Cua Pao, I will also recommend their Lomi and Miki Bihon. I will be back to try their other foods.

This restaurant has been my Dad's favorite Chinese restaurant. It is our go to place when craving for affordable Chinese dishes. We celebrated many special occassions here as well. Sadly as the years go by the quality of their food deteriorated. It is still my Dad's favorite restaurant until now so we still buy here. The comforting factor for now is that the staff are friendly and accommodating just like before.

When we dine at Emers' I can taste the MSG. The food has lots of MSG. Food is delicious but I hope they lessen the MSG and salt. The lomi was tasty and delicious though.
