This is my nth time to coco ichibanya and to this branch actually. I super love their food! One of my comfort food to be exact. I'm a website and loves to try different food but whenever I am at coco I usually just order my usual plate of pork cutlet curry. Writing this makes me drool again, that's how good it is. Service of staff is commendable as well and ambiance is perfect for catching up with friends or just eating out during your me time since their food is so comforting that you'll just enjoy it really 😄 I really do hope they provide promos or VIP passes for frequent goers like me 😉

We have been a fan of Coco since we tried it out early last year (at their Robinson’s Manila branch, since it was close to our computer shop). It was our go to comfort food and even date night resto. We knew that they had a Rockwell branch but only gotten around to visiting when my partner had to take a mental health staycation (since Rockwell was closer to the house than Robinson’s Manila)Ambience is typical Coco decor, we immediately felt “at home”. The dining area is on the 2nd floor and gave diners privacy but also a view of the Rockwell buildings at the same time. The curry is simply amazing. It never ceases to amaze me. Every visit could give you something new to try with all the selections and the seasoning of the curry is spot on. They have also added a healthier rice option for the health conscious (multigrain/15 grain rice for an additional P30 if I remember correctly) and also the additional Level 6-10 Spice Level (for those who love their food SPIIIIICY). Price range is around P300-450 per plate but their portions are waaaaay worth it. :3

Both the Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry and the Shrimp Omelette Curry were delicious. The creamy fluffy scrambled egg was perfect. The Japanese curry sauce was divine as always. And the servers were attentive even when you are seated in the less visible tables.

I was just at CoCo Ichibanya Greenhills branch last week (my first time at CoCo) and got hooked so now I’m back for more! Reasons for high rating of 4:1. Consistently (just like in their Greenhills branch) serves cold water (which we like) right after leading us to our table. 💧 2. Service is quick from giving us menus and taking our orders to serving the food. 👍🏼3. Consistently good Pork Cutlet Curry Rice! Yum! 😋4. Discovered on this visit that their freshly fried Chicken Nuggets are crispy and good! Definitely always ordering that again as appetizer or side dish. 👌🏼5. Love that their rice is customizable, I opted for less rice this time and they will refund you ₱20 from your bill. The spiciness level is customizable too. Spicy powder is also available on the table if you want to adjust it even more.🌶🍚Some pet peeves I had about this visit though, we came merienda time so we were the only ones there plus another table who came after us and left before us:1. Noisy staff chit chatting. It’s more than okay to talk to each other especially when there aren’t much customers but not too loud please that guests can hear everything.2. Staff that uses the comfort room (they only have 1, unisex) TOO LONG, to - I don’t know - maybe dress up / put on make -up before or after her shift, while a customer that needs to pee waits for 5-10 minutes. And to add to this, indifferent staff at the counter who knows customer is waiting but doesn’t care if other staff is taking too long in the comfort room. 🚽3. Unlike my review of their Greenhills branch where upon entering, it was very cool and welcoming after walking in the heat - it was warm when we entered this One Rockwell branch this afternoon. Imagine if we had parked in Power Plant Mall and walked over, the feeling would have been worse. A warm (temperature wise) establishment also doesn’t help when you serve spicy food (which we like but) which makes people sweat sometimes. 😓4. This last one’s just wishful thinking - that restaurants in One Rockwell including this one provide free parking for let’s say 2 hours for a validated parking ticket with a minimum amount purchased ex. ₱300. Because most likely, there will be customers eating here that will head to the mall after which means automatically a minimum of a hundred pesos worth of parking fees - ₱50 for One Rockwell and ₱50 for Power Plant Mall (first 4 hrs on weekdays). But yes it’s definitely walkable from the mall but when the sun is scorching and when it’s raining, not too convenient to do so. ☀️☔️🚙Will I be back? Yes! That’s how satisfying a meal their Pork Cutlet Curry and Chicken Nuggets are. 😆

I ordered their Pork Cutlet Omelette Curry. I never thought that this combination would really go well together. It was quite pricey at 360 but I swear it gives you bang for your buck as the serving was really big. Even someone with a big appetite would leave some leftovers.I also personally do not eat curry but boy does their curry sauce taste good. So curry newbies don't be afraid to give it a try, just order the sauce in Mild. It tastes like gravy just with a mild kick. The sauce will be your favorite part of the meal. The omelet that enveloped the rice was light and fluffy. The Pork Cutlet was lightly battered and fried crispy brown. As you bite into it you can taste the pork not just all breading.Eating here would be a good way to enhance your palate and shy away from your normal fare.
