I was pleasantly surprised when Cinq Dessert Botique and website Philippines sent me a box of Dulce - a pastillas de leche tart topped with pili nuts. The flavor was really nice, and it sort of reminded me of some quality butterscotch. The crunch of the pili nuts were paired well with the smoothness of the pastillas de leche. It actually looked like more of a revel bar than a tart. Nonetheless, it's a sweet treat that I would love to enjoy again, maybe when paired with a nice cappuccino.Food Quality: 3.5Service Quality: -Ambiance: -Overall Quality: 3.5I can't wait to drop by their actual Makati store to rate ambiance and service, as well as try their other delicious creations. Thank you, Cinq and website, for sending me a complimentary sweet creation! The delivery guy arrived at the office an hour late though, so the dessert pretty much melted. Hence, not very photogenic. If I were not mistaken, I believe what was sent to me was Corazon, which was a delectable combination of strawberries & basil, dark chocolate mousse, diced strawberries, and almond dacquoise. I shared it with my colleague and she loved it! I'm not usually a fan of having strawberry flavor with my chocolate dessert, but I'm making this one an exception. I love how it was well constructed and not overly sweet. The components - creamy mousse cake, texture of rich, crunchy almond meringue, and along with strawberries bits complemented each other pretty well. Having tasted this, I'm quite interested in trying out their other desserts! If you're looking for exquisite French-inspired sweet treats, head over to Cinq Dessert Boutique for a unique and mouthwatering experience!

One fine afternoon I received a delivery for a cake from Cinq Dessert Boutique as arranged by website PH. The timing was perfect as I had just finished lunch and the goodie came as a fitting dessert. It came in an elegant brown box. What's inside i found to be equally elegant. A plump, vibrant red and heart-shaped cake aptly called, Corazon. Dark chocolate mousse with diced strawberries and almond dacquoise that's rich and delightful. What I find interesting is it also has basil which provide an unexpected twist in flavor. Corazon has the right balance of fruitiness and sweetness with a taste doesn't overwhealm. You can choose to be romantic with it. A fitting finale to a fancy dinner date. Otherwise it's also just fine any which way you take it. There's a sense of sophistication about it that it can be that special element to an important occasion.I am much thankful for this treat. This definitely sparked my curiosity that I want to find out what Cinq Dessert Boutique's other offers are and how the pricing is. I'd be checking in at their shop in Jupiter St., Makati anytime soon.

Ligaya. So, that's what you call it. I'm so grateful, website. Thanks for sending me a piece of Ligaya. I was literally giggling while munching a bite of this Dayap Tart while waiting for it to melt in my mouth slowly. When the plate was empty, I wanted to go back to Makati to have another piece of Ligaya. Man, I sounded so cheesy. But, really. Once you taste it, you will be. Now, I'm gonna hunt down this Dessert Boutique the soonest.

I just got a complimentary dessert courtesy of Cinq and website. The best thing about it, is that it was delivered right to my office. :)They gave me Maru. A chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache , caramel and macadamia nuts. This dessert is like a chocolate bar that is so yummy. The cake is just soft and moist and the macadamia nuts gave it the crunch effect.I will definitely be visiting this place soon for dessert.

[Complimentary food item from Cinq Dessert Boutique and website]I am always on the look out for any new restaurant near my office in Makati, along Buendia. When Cinq first appeared on website's Newly Opened Collection, I drooled on its menu and I immediately had it bookmarked. It's been a while already and I haven't had the chance to visit this dessert boutique yet. But thank you website for bringing this piece of heaven right on my (office's) doorstep!Cinq sent me their Maru. It amazed me how the item is still in good condition despite the handling during delivery. Some desserts are so delicate that you need to be extra careful to retain its form. But as for Maru, it still landed beautifully on my desk! There goes my first bite - luscious is an understatement. Maru, for me, is ecstasy. It's a bar of chocolate (milk, dark, sponge) with macadamia nuts on top. Sounds simple, yes? But what makes it noteworthy is how the caramel complemented the whole experience. Who would've thought that all these ingredients would go well with each other? Truly a Cinq masterpiece!Thank you, Cinq, for this wonderful gift! I have an unending love for desserts and I can't wait to visit your place and try your other offerings! :)

I recently received this complimentary dessert from Cinq and website delivered to my office. It was perfect timing because I had just finished lunch. Sadly, it was really  too hot that day, so that might be the reason why the milk chocolate coat melted, displacing the macadamia placed on top. Contrary to its appearance though, is its taste. Every bite was amazing! This is called the MARU, a macadamia nut bar with chocolate sponge, dark chocolate cremeux, caramel, and macadamias, covered in milk chocolate. My favorite part is the dark chocolate cremeux, it just balances out the sweetness from the caramel. I also asked my brother to try it, and he loved it as well, as a lover of dark chocolate, he was so surprised that he liked it so much even when the bar had caramel in it.The serving size is just right, as each bite is really decadent. I wouldn't mind having it again when I go there :)

This charmer is called Ligaya. Cinq's homage to the local lime - Dayap. When i think of Dayap, i remember Ibong Adarna. Don Juan had to drizzle some to his wound to keep himself awake. Literature aside, Ligaya is one of the best dayap infused pastries i had i a while. The crust doesn't crumble easily - this is a fact as i had the box in my grocery bag for quite sometime whilst walking around. The filling sports a lovely yellow hue and adorned by caramelized dayap slice on top. As for the taste, it is a perfect harmony of sweet and sour. There is enough sugar to tone down the sourness and vice versa. Perfect proportions. And by the way, they make a mean Pecan Tart too!

The sugar-free Aurore is one of the best sugar free desserts in the Metro! The sugar free Pilita works in a pinch but its not nearly as good. Its not a 5 rating due to 2 small complaints.First is the long lead time for ordering and picking up. Other similar systems, cakes/tarts can be produced same day to 24 hours. That said, its a small price to pay for, really, one of the best sugar-free desserts in the city.Second is the size of the tart. For a dinner party of more than 10 people I think you need 4 of these. IMO, that means they are too small. I don't like the optics of having to bring out 4 of the same thing at formal dinner parties, the presentation is unattractive. This is why I have gone elsewhere for this situation and only order the Aurore for casual and small family events.

i cut my sugar for 4 days so i can sink my teeth into CINQs lusciously luxurious plethora of patisserie offerings. hello hyperactivity 😹CINQs commitment in using 100% LEGIT ingredients comes through (and TRUE) when you indulge in their treats. yes, it costs more than your commercialized bakeshop, but that’s the price you pay for QUALITY babe.the owner mastered her baking passion in France and here in the Philippines, her store is the only one that sells authentic tarts(open faced pies as pies have a pastry covering) and she doesn’t crimp on the use of her ingredients. notice how some bakeshops can afford to put their cake displays outside the baking heat w/o the icing melting like snow- ‘coz it’s artificially made/modified. real chocolate or butter composed food needs to be refrigerated, always.the tarts the we sampled are:Aurore - chocolate tart that’s bittersweet because real chocolate really aint sweet. Ligaya - dayap pie, omg! it had a zap of zing but it was oh so good!Louise - pecan tart and the pecans in it are real biiig! they used coconut sugar and real honey for sweetnessTiare - passion fruit tart and it’s the genuine taste of passion fruit that’s not tinged by flavorings.the patisseries that were offered to us: Profiteroles - nope, it’s not a cream puff and custard filling has a lil rum and is covered w/ melted dark chocolateFinanciaer- almond flour + brown butter + gran marnierEmilie- their best selling truffle cake that’s bitterly good!sourdough bread w/ flaxseed- has an open crumb structure when you get that slice w/c means it’s naturally fermented.others may not even bother to give this dessert shop a minute of their time because it’s a bit steeply priced. once you get tuitioned to the facts on why they do so, you’ll get the point. sample, their chocolates are made from pure cocoa butter while their butter are made from pure animal fat meaning once this gets absorbed by your body, it will not leave any harmful remnants inside your body, unlike the processed foods that sticks in your gut, causes breakouts and will clog your arteries.once in a while you can indulge on food that’s good for your body w/c may cause more anyway, you’re the one who’s eating it so why be stingy?!
